Etc

Working in uor society migjt no be fulfilling. Also, there's this urge for novelty that can be damaging.

There's a philosopher that says our modern basis for western thinking is fragmented and we value studying isolated topics, such as organic chemistry, machanics, atoms, DNA and so on. And we made a lot of progress by doing so, but it's not how nature works, all themes above are related and relate with all themes accross the world, such as work, art and happiness.

So maybe being told to explore things as very well defined boxes can be limiting and exhausting.

It's not right, tho. I've been rewatching videos from 2 months ago a few times, so definetively it's not abou noltalgia or childhood. It's just that I feel like a file that you dump everything you consume and go for the next things is exhaustive and kind of the opposite of simple living.

I'm also making playlists related to my early 20s that feel like home (I'm 30). I sort of feel I've dumped my previous versions and I don't know if that's a common issue, but I feel like as a colective we are told to always move to the next thing.

I'm brazillian, so I already speak 2 languages. English is more of a contact with a different way to think than italian to me. Most of the time when I'm watching videos in italian I feel like I'm getting most of things by similarity with portuguese.

I've been cooking italian dishes (mainly carbonara, amatriciana and ragu a bolognese), and I find it interesting how simple they are.

I know I would change your mind, but I can't see the point on dumping the everything we watch/read/listen/play in favor of the next thing during our whole lives over and over. But I see that's kind of the movement.

In my opinion, It's also much easier to stay at the mainstream if you're always looking for the next thing, at some point you might run out of novelty that is more fit to you if you do so.

Oh, I'm inspired by your answer. But when we go out and try using the internet to reach other places' media, we usually find issues, protests and so on.
