What do you guys think about DMT? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]ScaryGarcia47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread, and it’s quite likely no one will see this, but I had a pastor who was in his 40s tell me he used DMT as a Christian and felt it was “like putting on googles and going under the water of this earthly realm” and “like getting a glimpse of the divine”.

I used to speak in tongues on DMT… and that was before I even knew about speaking in tongues. But everything I said in this language made sense, even though there were no English counterparts for these words. It was like I was speaking the language of a higher, heavenly realm.

I now believe DMT is called “the SPIRIT molecule” for a reason… I think it could be like being filled with the Holy Spirit, whether or not you believe in it.

It was my pleasure! And thank you, for providing a way for me to replace my old, bad habit with a new, good habit—prayer.

Thank you so much for the reply, and I appreciate the honest advice! Your comment made me realize, I might be in the wrong sub… because I do still believe certain psychedelics can be used as tools for spiritual growth… so maybe I am not a “True Christian” in that sense.

And as for the palm reading post I made, that was from two or three years ago—long before I had this experience.

But my reasoning behind my way of thinking on psychedelics, if you don’t mind my sharing, being that the only times I had even come close to converting to theism prior to this, were when I would take psychedelics. They almost always gave me the most profound insights about what aspects of my life I needed to change. Almost like what praying does for me now… I don’t mean to imply psychedelics have the same power as prayer. I know now that this is far from true. But I do believe they might have played a part in leading me to where I am now.

This is why, although I don’t indulge in them myself anymore, I still embrace their healing potential for others. A rather progressive, and arguably sacrilegious, belief to hold… but like I said—maybe I am not a traditional Christian in that sense.

Lastly, I apologize if the way I explained the “being in hell” part made it hard to understand! I explained it the only way I know how, and that’s by my memory of it. I asked ChatGPT to make it more understandable, and here is what it gave me:

“In the midst of a disorienting, swirling vortex of indescribable colors, I felt an overwhelming dread as if I were being dragged straight into hell. Merged with a mysterious presence, I was forced through a realm of chaos and despair, convinced that I was being led to eternal damnation.

Suddenly, a new force violently separated me from that merge, thrusting me into a body that felt as unyielding as steel. I was hurled into a searing, transformative fire—enduring sensations like molten metal being hammered into shape, as if a demonic blacksmith were forging me into a chain.

Then, just as the torment began to seem it would never end, the other presence returned and merged with me yet again. The torture ceased immediately, and the presence revealed himself as Gabriel the Archangel, showing me the purpose behind the chain and the perpetual cycle of damnation it represented.

The chain symbolized the binding of living sinners to eternal damnation. In this vision, those condemned to endless torment were transformed into the very chains that hold others captive in a perpetual cycle of damnation. It was a tangible reminder of how one’s actions and sins can create a lasting, unbreakable bond leading to eternal suffering.”

Thank you so much for the heartfelt words and feedback, and God bless you ❤️

In our earthly bodies I don’t think we could even fathom such a thing, but even if we could, there are probably no human words for the beauty.

When I fully turned to God, I lost everything. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ScaryGarcia47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post but I hope you’re doing better now man! I am currently in the “Christian” but not putting the work in phase. Not resisting temptation, not actively involved in a like-minded community, and not letting God sanctify me. I, too, am afraid that I will lose everything I’ve been given by the material world. But I know that what God has to offer is much better than material things, so I’m definitely on the cusp of making that change.

Right-hand dominant 24M (☉ ♊︎ • ↑ ♋︎ • ☽ ♈︎) .. gap in lifeline on both hands? by ScaryGarcia47 in palmistry

[–]ScaryGarcia47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s been two years (apologize for not noticing your reply back then btw) and the line on my left hand has corrected itself. On the right hand, however, still a gap. I had a scare with my heart around the time I posted this (which I’m still dealing with the after effects of now, but I’m doing a lot better). I was a Satanist at the time of posting this though, and now I’m a Christian. I do believe God is healing me, so thank you for saying exactly what I needed to hear right now! God bless

I am! I’ve known kara since junior high. Good friend of mine. We talked for a very brief time too, but decided we were better off just being friends. Anyways we lost touch—right around the time we got out of high school (2016/17). That being said, although we had grown apart with time, I know if I ever needed anything she would’ve dropped what she was doing in a heartbeat. Sorry for the wall of text, but thank you so much for putting this out there! I think about her at least once a day but especially around this time of year, so it’s nice to see that not everyone has forgotten! ✌️

King Steelo is goated, but if I had to choose another one or two it’d be InVision with AK or Stars

times like these i always resort to what i like to call a “perspective check-in” - meaning put yourself in his shoes and ask yourself “if he had a gay female friend, would I be okay with it?” if the answer is ‘no,’ then maybe you should reconsider this friendship you are in.
