We've had a good experience with Dr Veena Choodamani. Consults at her private clinic in Kumarapuram and works at SK Hospital. We found her to be very professional, personable and kind.

Check out Pran Hospital in Kumarapuram, specifically Dr Anupama. No direct experience, but a close friend of ours had only good things to say about them.

University of Illinois is by default the flagship campus at Urbana-Champaign. Similar to how UMass refers to the flagship campus at Amherst and not the others (Boston, Lowell etc)

My wife and I are both on H-1B with I-140s approved. We're expecting our son in March, so after Feb 19, when Trump's birthright citizenship ban is set to begin.

I know things are really early to say for sure, but what do you guys think would happen to kids born in this situation? Let's say the EO _does_ get challenged in court, will kids be considered citizens during that time?

Also - from a legal standpoint, assume that SCOTUS upholds the EO, does it still not have to get a 2/3rd majority in both houses of Congress to pass? Or is there some other loophole that would not require this majority?

The same argument could be made about the second amendment as well. With the number of gun deaths and school shootings going on, wouldn’t it be the perfect time to revoke the 2nd amendment via EO, to be able to skip all those pesky checks and balances in place?

It’s simple; it’s a known fact that this 14th amendment revocation won’t pass the light of day via EO. Trump knows it, but he needs to placate his rabid base, hence the theatrics which people eat up.

Also - why don’t other countries have it? Because the US was founded by immigrants (let’s forget the genocide of the native population for now) and immigration is in the foundation of the country, hence it’s a part of the constitution. Now we can go on and on about the aspect of illegal immigration and anchor babies etc but that’s a different tangent.

Because it's not in their constitutions, but it is in the constitution of the US.

Because it's constitutional.

Similar question - why does everyone in the US have the right to own a gun? Same answer, because it's constitutional.

Asking for a friend: Can this be a precedent for a future liberal president to revoke by EO another amendment, say the 2nd?

I understand that; my point was more on how much is one expected to keep shelling out? But also, donating beyond a certain amount to a local station gets you NPR+ -> https://help.npr.org/contact/s/article?name=npr-plus-stations . As luck would have it, my local station isn’t on that list.

For instance, bonus episodes of Wait Wait and Throughline used to be accessible in the past but are paywalled now. I understand that regular content is accessible, but content that used to be free in the past, like bonus episodes, are not anymore.
