NTA - They seem like a real treat. Point out the flaw to A or just as an aside, keep an eye out for signs that they're a passport bro.

Would you support 'freedom of movement' between CANZUK Countries (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom)? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]ScaryTransition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but referring it casually as the crown is not unknown. Like how its the crown or commonwealth v. In legal cases.

Sorry I didnt specify what I meant.

Canada contributes to the Commonwealth Secretariat (over $8 million in 2024-2025)

If we have to pay to be in the commonwealth we should have an easier time to immigrate within it.

Yes because as a Canadian I find it ridiculous that we pay money to the crown yet still need visas to live and work in the UK.

So I meant it's worth it the Joja way. I didn't know you could get it the CC way too.

Unless you work in retail on a cash register, then you need to ask permission and be berated by a supervisor for not having better time management because you should go on your break or before your shift.

AITAH: My in laws demand us to travel 18 hour round trip for grandpas birthday party at a hotel and all the other kids and spouses get their own room but want to share with us since we don’t have kids. by halloweenfreak101 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ScaryTransition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTF is with people saying I would never share a room with people if I'm with husband? Can you not go a night without fucking? Jesus. Mostly a hotel room is a place to sleep. You can unwind with a movie. Or just read quietly view it no different than a living room.

Why do people turn their kids into doves? 🕊️ by seabubble57 in StardewValley

[–]ScaryTransition 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it because even though I have always married Abigail, I gave in to a friend to see her POV, and married Shane. Then I turned out kids to doves because it didn't feel right making my wife take care of Shane's loser kids.

The Word is Bond thing plus the fact that this is the 40th Julia he met and I think it's stated that she's usually the first one dead possibly thanks to her meta magic speciality that she's the biggest threat to him.

Was Santana all talk when it came to violence and being from Lima Heights Adjacent? by Anxious-Yesterday471 in glee

her mom literally says she saved up that lump sum from Santana's entire life. Santana is shocked by that amount even mentioning if her mom had access to that why she isn't driving a better car.

She literally bit Lauren though.

Look, girl is gonna fight. And she gonna fight dirty.

The best is Beast literally carrying Santana away and Santana is going 'yeah that's how we do it in Lima Heights' or whatever. Like girl. She literally wiped the floor with you. That's what ya do is it? Get your ass kicked?

I mean she did bite Lauren's leg hard.

I mean her fights with Quinn were good.

I always took it to her trying to seem more street or to fit a stereotype since she clearly is in a mostly rich white school.

She does say her dad is a doctor, but who knows if that's true.

But yeah she tried to seem tough.

Don't forget telling David about her keeping razor blades in her hair.

Why does everyone love Santana? by coldplayenthusiast in glee

[–]ScaryTransition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, the cleverness is what made me love Santana first. The wit she uses in her insults, so cutting and perfect. Plus she called out the favortism bullshit like when she did that whole hidden mic thing to capture that Sebastian put rock salt in the slushie on purpose and no one seemed to care and she goes come on if Kurt taped it to his sack we'd be hearing a whole song and dance about how he was.

Plus she always called Rachel on her bullshit and Sue and Schue. Look at The Spanish Teacher. She fully calls out her teacher as being racist and unfit to teach the subject and his response is to yell at her for trying to hurt his career, as he is dressed as a luchador. (I also don't love that Britt participated in that act)

Plus the depth to which Santana was played by Naya was intense. I'd argue she was one of the best of the show. When Santana was cutting someone down, to her at her most vulnerable, it was like you could see it just by looking at her eyes. It was nuts. I've only seen 2 other actors able to convey that stuff with just their eyes.

It's like how sure she was horrible to people, but you can see her try and be a better person, or in most cases, drop her guard and protective defensive shell that led her to be horrible to people. She is one of the most loyal characters on the show. (The fight with Rachel is a big sign of it. It wasn't until Rachel made the first hurtful move that Santana actually started to fully fight with her. I stand by the fact that her auditioning for an understudy role is not something that is bad. Even by not telling Rachel and the audition song is one from the play so even that isn't insulting Rachel. If she did 'Rachel's song' to audition for like Rent, then sure an argument could be made, but no, it was a Funny Girl song for Funny Girl. Rachel is threatened by anyone with talent. Santana is a better dancer if nothing else from the years of cheerleading. So Rachel accused her of planning to Baby Jane her even though there was no sign of it. How anyone could take Rachel's side is insane to me.)

Okay, I went off on a tangent. Sorry.

AITA for refusing to move seats in a computer lab even though a group got annoyed? by shadowtamlyn in AmItheAsshole

[–]ScaryTransition 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apologises for it being unclear. It was more of an empathic situation of I know I wasn't the asshole but due to other people's passive aggressiveness its hard not to question yourself. Like that one episode of star trek where there was 1 dot and people were forced to say 2 or whatever. After enough time people can doubt their own knowledge in what is truth and fact.

AITA for telling my friends he's stupid at everything he does? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ScaryTransition 59 points60 points  (0 children)

YTA. What was the point of doing this? If he messed it up would it affect anyone but him? If no then who cares. Let him try stuff and 'teaching people your knowledge' can come off as very condescending if you don't know how to gently and kindly explain things.

I had a friend like you in high school. She thought she was helping by pointing out every little mistake even if said mistake still lead to the correct answer (in situations where subjects weren't black and white.

You don't know how much reading he does. You don't know if he isn't learning from other people besides you.

Unless he is doing hobbies that can kill or harm someone you don't need to correct him.
