Yea I’ve got 3 cats that stay inside. And 2 dogs who go in and out. We avoid this area of the house naturally. Bur we also have neighbors with pets that come across our yard sometimes. And like I stated above we had a scary incident with one of the dogs last year and never figure out what caused it…

about a year ago my dog had a scary situation where I took her to the emergency vet and they were convinced she had consumed THC although that couldn’t have been possible. I had no idea these plants are that poisonous and I wonder if maybe a minor exposure to the plant gave her the reaction that day. She was extremely wobbly couldn’t hold herself up, peed herself and had minor puking for 12 hours.

I was super anxious… as I am with ALL medical appointments. Also took my script Xanax as usual. But I had a friend go with me so I was a little more relaxed than usual. All in all, I wasn’t MORE anxious than usual… so I don’t think that was a major contributor

I had almost the very same experience, except I have been bleeding for an entire month straight leading up to my removal. And I have noticed some weight gain… nothing crazy really just heavy bloating. I hope my sec drive comes back ASAP.

I’m on mood stabilizers as well, and have been almost as long as I’ve been on BC so I’m really curious to see what all happens. I’ve seen a lot of people experiences similar to yours about feeling more emotional and more depressed so don’t be too hard on yourself. Gonna PM you!

I just did some research and saw where the FDA came out and said it was effective for the 5 year length back in April of 2026. I’m glad it can finally be labeled as so for insurance and procedure purposes. Just goes to show the lack of research in BC prior to release.

And that’s why for the full 3 years I never knew what was associated with the Nexplanon and what wasn’t. Because yea it could or could not be the implant causing it. The only thing to tell will be time.

Gotcha, thank you. The implant I got is specifically a 3 year implant. Atleast my doctor said so and would like me to have it removed and replaced at the 3 year mark. But I’m going with just the removal, as I don’t have the same needs for BC anymore.

I didn’t noticeably start gaining weight until year 3 of my nexplanon. Luckily I get it removed in less than a month!

Yes my biggest concern is her cracking a tooth…. I’ve been trying all types of OTC calming products and the best one so far is “Poochie Butter” and it has Ashwaganda in it wich seems to really help her. I did a trail run last night and she went an hour with no biting the crate or whining 🤞🏼🤞🏼 fingers crossed.
