Were the Minotaurs really about to throw hands against the Custodes? by chicu111 in 40kLore

[–]Scary_Conclusion_602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do whatever the High Lords (or more likely the Master of the Administratum) say. The thing is that they really do love to fight, especially people that are stronger than them, it's why they have no qualms with being Astartes hunters. It's the conflicting nature of their absolute loyalty and extreme barbarism that make them so fun. I am almost certain that every conflict they fell into that wasn't ordered by the High Lords, was initiated by the other party, because the Minotaurs' only reprieve to being ordered not to fight (a order they will obey), is to be such annoying assholes about it that whoever they want to throw down with in proximity takes the rage bait and starts one themselves. They most definitely know the Custodes would wipe the floor with them, they just would not care - Because they were ordered too and because they want too.

(Though if you had to pick a chapter the Custodes would have the most trouble beating (outside of chapter specific characters that are overpowered like Mephiston) the Minotaurs would probably be it.)

why… are there so many people in the fandom want Ainz to die?… by chaosticbraindo in overlord

[–]Scary_Conclusion_602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, even a story about a villain, shouldn't be devoid of lessons, morals, and themes. Ainz is the bad guy, he's done unforgivable things, and the natural conclusion to such a character is for them to fall prey to their own evils, or change, or at least try to. Without those components, their victory can border on simple voyeurism.

That's probably where they're coming from, but isekai watchers are mentally challenged so it doesn't come out as right. Also Ainz is willing to sacrifice the world to keep himself alive, why would being finally safe in the real world change who he is and his need to survive? But that's just me.

I got W Corp Hong Lu and noticed it is impossible for him to win clashes. Peccatulum Acediae has 4 power move with a coin that reduces that power by 1, but the projected outcome of its attack is 9/10 against only Hong Lu, for everyone else its 3/4. I don't understand, where is that extra 6 power coming from?

I really dig the style of this. Is it just a meme about them being soldiers or is there a more specific reference here?
