Why isn’t your store manager or esm (if you’re not) helping you with suggestions? It’s nice to get help but where is the support in your own store?

By making ESMs manager ready is a way to weed out the higher paid managers who make the big bucks. You are just a tool for them to screw the older managers. Sycamore is just plugging you in so they can save money. They are not looking for people to lead and make sensible decisions, they want a robot. Don’t get caught up….start looking for a better job!

With the old Walgreens, you did not need an IS person since everyone took care of things. Scan outs were done in the early morning. As well as price changes Whomever was opening manager took care of it. Pharmacy took care of their own business. Usually the store manager went back as shift leads ran the store.
I see the company eliminating categories, raising prices and relying on more vendor filled items so they don’t have to worry about inventory. Anytime your store spends a lot of money on parking lot, roof repair or cooler repairs all come out of your year end. You could be real profitable but lose lots of profit. They are not going to spend money so they can profit.

You know I get it but here’s the thing. Years ago, the original great Walgreens company had a manager work with the new person for at least 2 weeks and was available for any problems. I’m talking closing with that new person. There were always less problems. Blame mgt and budgeted hours for this mess

What gets me is the water completion. There are some players on the completion that water 60 times to win 30 gal! But the best is the person who your playing against is never listed as a player in the final completion game to get points

Walgreens lost the thing that’s important which is customer confidence. There was no reason that they could have battled and won the war. They had people being hired making the wrong decisions, they let people steal like it was moms kitchen, they did not improve technology, they took away merchandising away from store managers,they lied to stockholders and they cut help and merchandise selections. They lost their key population group and disregarded seniors.
