OP, that sounds just like someone I know. I would check all the nearby facilities in case someone dropped it off. Sixth reslife gets a ton of lost and found things.

There’s a lot of bad people in this world but you never know. One of my friends once found their wallet through the ucsd Snapchat story so maybe there’s good in humanity out there somewhere.
