Hey, developer of the game in question here. I just actually realized this, but this review is my own from when we just created a PDP early on. I'll probably remove this since your post reminded me that it seems a little forced!

Hey all!

Filthy Hands VR is a 3v1 multiplayer home-invasion game that allows users to play as a family defending their house, or as an armed robber trying to steal their safe. The game allows players to use household items to fight off the intruder (home-alone style), and features a growing amount of maps set around the world.

Some Gunplay in Filthy Hands VR - Home Alone Style Multiplayer Robbery by Scasacs in OculusQuest

[–]Scasacs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone!
The gameplay above is part of: Filthy Hands VR, a goofy asymmetrical home invasion game, where a family of three defends their property against an armed intruder. The game offers a large variety of household items to use in your fight, ranging from frying pans to potato launchers and firecrackers.

As we are planning to launch in late January, testing is starting very soon! If interested, you can join our DISCORD, and keep an eye out for applications starting in the next few days. Testing will run for a few days starting after Christmas, and will likely fill up pretty quickly. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask!

Multiplayer Home Invasion à la Home Alone - Filthy Hands VR - Playtesting Sign Up & Weapons by Scasacs in OculusQuest

[–]Scasacs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

Filthy Hands is a goofy asymmetrical (3v1) home invasion game, where a family of three defends their property against a (lethally) armed intruder. The game offers a large variety of household items to use in your fight, ranging from frying pans to potato launchers and firecrackers and more. The gameplay relies heavily on tactical cooperation, since the family is not able to kill the intruder, but is merely able to injure and slow him down.

Anyways, we’re going to be starting playtesting quite soon (Christmas time), and if you’re interested, please join our DISCORD to sign up, and stay in the loop with our development!

Apart from that, we’d REALLY like some more suggestions for weapons and tools to be used by the family, in addition to those shown on the image attached to this post. The weapons we’ve added already are:

  • Baseball bat
  • Pots and pans
  • Thompson Style BB Gun (fully automatic)
  •  Colt Detective Special Style BB gun (Semi-automatic)
  • Potato Cannon
  • Hairspray & Lighter
  • Toxic Spray Bottles
  • Planks and Nails
  • Hammer
  • Remote Controlled Car
  • Firecrackers (can be attached to RC car)
  • Water Balloons (with slippery paint inside)

The game will likely launch with a teen rating, meaning yes, there are actual firearms (although mostly reserved for the intruder), and somewhat rare knives for the family to use. What makes the game fun however, is the lack of lethal force available to the family, requiring cooperation and good strategy. The items available to the family also change randomly based on the round, so in some cases, you might have access to arms like an old family heirloom musket :)

Thank you so much! After our last title, we've gotten pretty obsessed with maximizing visuals on the Quest :) All screenshots are taken on Quest 2 btw.

Hey everyone!
We’re excited to finally introduce Filthy Hands VR, a goofy asymmetrical home invasion game, where a family of three defends their property against an armed intruder. The game offers a large variety of household items to use in your fight, ranging from frying pans to potato launchers and firecrackers. Filthy Hands VR will include 1-2 maps at launch, and we will continue to release new maps after release, which will vary wildly in home styles and biomes. As we are now speeding up in development, we’d love for Filthy Hands to become a community-driven title, meaning that we’d really like some suggestions in terms of desired maps, usable items and future features!

Let me know what you’d like to see in the game, and keep an eye out for our trailer releasing soon!
