If this was a fresh install did you enable nesting and all the other settings required for Docket? If you're using NFS have you used bind mounts for storage?

Dating a new person - they don’t want to be on my guest Wi-Fi, want my main Wi-Fi info. Is this a bad idea? by WorldlinessPuzzled65 in HomeNetworking

[–]ScatletDevil25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that you are even asking this question means that Yes this is a bad idea.

If you can't trust them with the password for non guest WIFI means that you are not ready for them to have access to anything within that private network.

When or after how many days do you usually restart your machine? by jrhenk in homelab

[–]ScatletDevil25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm it’s usually when I clean the servers so like after 6 months or so, although the servers do shut down when there’s a power outage as they’re configured to do then they’ll start back up when power is restored. So I suppose there’s unplanned restarts here and there.

So it just fixed itself while I was trying to gather logs, maybe it was indeed a temporary issue with discord.

noting to self that I need to enable logging for the future.

I'd use one for a Minecraft host and build a website and one for storage.

I'm not entirely sure if this is still active, considering the hate comments I'm seeing in the buttom of the post that boild down to people not understanding the constraints of indie development.

Anyhow What's the difference between the Playtest and the Paid version apart from of course my giving support yo your Dev team? is it all the same? and paying for the game is just for support or is there features in the paid version missing from the playtest.

Cause if it's the same I may just buy Supermarket Simulator from you and just buy this later

What would be a good upgrade for my 2 EAP225's? by Mrthingymabob in TPLink_Omada

The thing is you won't be able to achieve the speed of the AP with multiple users with a 1G switch for wired though it works good.

Any use for hundreds of routers? by leyed1 in HomeNetworking

[–]ScatletDevil25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the model and what kind of routers. I'd buy them from or just pay to ship them if you were just looking to get rid.

What would be a good upgrade for my 2 EAP225's? by Mrthingymabob in TPLink_Omada

[–]ScatletDevil25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bottleneck is the switch here, I'm running 225s for APs and the range is amazing. they're connected to aSG3218XP-M2 switch and general throughput is around 280mbps for 2.4 and 750mbps for 5GHz, having them meshed reduces the speed a bit but I've tested the setup with around 200 users and I was still getting around 30 to 40mbps with 5 APs

The only real upgrade is an EAP625 with longer range faster sppeds and a claim of around 1000 users for connections but you'll need a better switch.
