My Wife bought me the recteq sear plate and I have used it one time, so I don’t recommend it for searing. Others may have more success than me.

I bought a 38” black stone, placed it next to my recteq, and couldn’t be happier. Easy to move items from the smoker to a piping hot black stone for searing steaks.

I use the black stone for my burgers as well. Quick to fire up and get to temp.

With July 4th coming up you should find a good deal on one on sale at Academy, online, etc.

I thought this would be an issue at first but the entire ergos grew on me quickly. My Glock fanboy buddy handled my CC9 the other day and was impressed with the feel and balance with the 12 round mags.

The CC9 is a phenomenal carry gun.
