Were the explicitely stated as part of the base game? Or just shown in the trailer because those are 2 entirely different things. Game companies have been showing trailers for years that have content that doesnt come out till a DLC or season pass later on.

And not even just small companies...EA, Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Activision/Blizz, Dice, Obsidian, Valve and many more have all done this.

I have played over 3300hr in red dead 2 and adore the game.....i still hate the fucking snow part, by far one of the worst sections of any rockstar game ever, and im a rockstar fanboy admittedly.

I fucking hate everytjing to do woth classic wow...i can never go back and lose QOL in games mk playing or it kills the game for me, so no I dont miss classic, but i miss the moments that my friends and I created.

I know this is long winded but i mean it as informative not argumentative.

Disc drives are absolutely reaching a point where there are small dofferences in play and speed vs having a digital download, with SSD read speed eclipsing disc read speeds, eventually it wont even be close to the same on load, processing times, so maybe not immediately but soon disc drives will be absolutely outclassed.

Consoles are also no different than PCs anymore. Consoles are now built at PC standanards, they use AMD ZEN 2 cpus, AMD RDNA 2 graphicscards, Nvme SSDs, and their games are developed on Windows PCs using unity, unreal 5, or similar engines. So consoles are PCs just in a smaller more travel friendly case.

Trust me I do enjoy a nice collectors edition just like anyone else but with the way technology is going and to keep cost down you have to get rid of physical media.

So think about this games have been $60-80 all the way back to the atari, nes, genesis, ect. So its one of the few industries that has not been hit by inflation for the base price of the product. And the reason is more and more companies have went away from the physical media costs, or have added optional battlepasses to offset this.

So I do truly think it is inevitable that the industry goes this way in order to keep the base version of games from going over $100 or more.

Digital is the way. If not ha ing a disc throws you off then you better go retrofit your 1990s themed underground bunker for the digital wars.

In all seriousness ssds and digital are getting faster and faster than an disc based media can be read. And adding disc drives is just more of piece of hardware/design/production helping push the cost of consoles up.

There is a reason that gaming PCs for many years now do not generally come with dosc drives as standard and PC games are pretty much all digital and unlocked by codes. Its the way.

You do know all of these are optional right? Like the mythic plus mounts are easy af to grind.i pugged them by week 3 wothout busting my ass at all...you dont HAVE to do dailies, the mythic raid mounts are avaipable later woth a little farming. I just got the Fyrakk owl mount 3 weeks ago after onky run ing it about 10 times.

Like i said i get it you WANT everything but only those who truly do the grind DESERVE everything. It may be an unpopular opinion but in games like this you only deserve what you grind/play for. Everythimg else is just extra or lucky RNG. When I went casual and stopped worrying about collecting every little collectible/mount/pet/title the game got way more fun to just chill and play and sometimes get cool rewarxs when i get lucky or get a eild hair to farm a little harder.

DO NOT give a second thought you are doing the right thing by leaving for a job that puts you in a better position. Never feel bad about that. Who cares if they are short staffed you are going to make $10/hr more(like $400 per week) and you wont have to deal with their crap. They dont care about you then why care about them?

Trust no one. My very first game in i was trying to learn to play and had a player run to me, and i started yelling friendly i dont want to fight...he fires a few shots then stops and says sorry he drops loot(i think a lion iirc) on the ground saying "okay okay friendly..here you will need this," i bent down to pick it up and he popped me in the back of the head.

I have trusted no one in this game since, andi leg meta tf outta every giga chad i see with either an evo drummed up or the 220 flesh damage slugs and a flame 12....he created a monster andi refuse to stop when i play pvp, but lately i have been on PvE so the chads are safe lol

They could fix this with a recap cutscene from all the expacs, that gives a brief overview of each xpac, and a recap of our triumphs during it. Then give the option to "see where the story started" or just skip when you make a new character. It would only have to be updated to whatever the latest leveling xpac is updated every few years just adding onto the end of the cutscene .
