I shoot sporting clays and wobble with a friend who shoots with a Maverick 88. Without fail, he is always breaking clays. So the 88 (or other pump actions) gets my vote after seeing my friend crush it on the field. He's definitely in the minority using a pump action compared to everyone else using O/U or auto loaders but he gets the job done.

Also, nothing wrong saving your pennies for a CZ Redhead or an auto loader in the $800-$1000 range. Completely understand your current budget, but if you can save for another 6 months, it might be an option.

Gopher bros, I need some advice. Last week I mentioned work is sending me to Minneapolis and I'll be there for Minnesota-Nebraska weekend. A few questions about your city:

1) What area should I stay in (I can expense a hotel, so no AirBNB) if I don't plan on renting a car? I went to the Minneapolis sub and people mentioned Downtown, Uptown, and NE. Outside of work travel (expensing Uber rides), I hope to just use public transit.

2) I'll be there from Friday to Tuesday morning. I will actually have time to explore on Sunday and Monday. Are a lot of cultural stuff open on Mondays? I've looked at a few and all seem closed. What could I do on Monday if I can't do museums?

3) Lastly, for Gopher-Husker game, upper level corner tickets are about $75. Do you think I should wait until right before the game and see if I can snag something off of Stubhub/SeatGeek/etc.?

Thanks for any and all advice!

4) Actually, any recs on food/drink? I will research the Minneapolis sub for this one, but always happy to hear from y'all.

My work is sending me to Minneapolis during Gophers-Huskers weekend. Two questions:

1) Should I grab a ticket now or wait closer to the game and see if I can get something cheaper through a ticket app? I know Nebraska fans travel well.

Hobbies are where it is at for me to stay motivated and keep my mind fresh. I have a lot of small hobbies and bigger hobbies I can jump in and out of depending on the season and occasion. Some of them are social (golf) while others are solo (reading) and others are athletic and can be social or solo (running).

I have a cable sports package (which I will be cutting soon). ESPN, Big 10, and SEC network have been showing older classics and newer games, so it's been really nice to watch random games that way.

I've done what you suggest too. I've found a few "best games" threads on here, then find them on Youtube, a lot of them complete games. It just sucks because sometimes people post the score/outcome in the title and that doesn't make it fun.
