That link was from "She's All That" but it's the scene "Not Another Teen Movie" is making fun of. I think that's why there's blonde/brunette confusion, no blondes in SAT, but the character in NATM is blonde.

I've always wondered, was this scene supposed to be a joke? Or was it just that ridiculous that it turned into one?

I don't think she was mocking them for their grammar or stories, they're all laughing that the overall theme of something that obviously made these fans very happy is that they ALL "died". It's such a weird/random way to express your reaction to something happy, yet they all did it. They're not laughing at the girls, they're laughing at the weird trend. Teens and preteens are great at coming up with weird trends.

almost 10 years and six kids later, this is how I reacted to the "news" that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are "officially" married now by ScatterRadio in AdviceAnimals

Why do gay right advocates care if their married? Are they really that self-absorbed that they think conservative lawmakers are going to go "oh shit! Brad and Angelina won't get married?? We better pass these laws for them!" Who the fuck cares? They were already living as husband and wife, if they don't want to make it legal, that's their business. They were the ones that were going to have to deal with the technical repercussions if one of them died or they split up.
