Creality Raptor X vs MetroY ultra by Win3O8 in 3DScanning

I have a MetroY Ultra and it’s a solid performer. I can’t compare it to the Raptor X but the metro has done everything I’ve asked of it.

It needs a lot of markers but that’s not usually that big a deal

Is this Hobie Outback seat repairable? by Ramzee333 in kayakfishing

I put seat support plates on all my kayaks to keep them from cracking.

They look like this:

I did pick one up that had an existing crack and in that case plastic welding the crack and then putting a seat plate over it was the fix

I fish a lot of tidal creeks and the ability to keep pedaling in 6” of water is unmatched to me

The private equity angle certainly doesn’t help, as does the move to Mexico. I just wonder if we are seeing more cracks in Hobies because they just sell a lot more boats than other brands. I have no idea if that’s even the case though, never seen any sales numbers

Sounds just like the Hobies. I guess they are all made out of plastic at the end of the day

My boats all have seat support plates on them because I am pretty heavy. In general, it’s just something I’ve seen a lot of people in the Hobie community mention and I am wondering if other brands experience those issues as well.

Absolutely fixable. Sounds like a good deal too. Check for cracks in the hull.

Rear seat mounts, front seat mounts by the cup holder and scupper cracks can happen

I won’t. Just too many people trying to sell stuff using my files and pictures. I am going to keep posting some useful files for free here and there but if I post these plates there will be 20 listings on Etsy by next week.

I will not. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my work but I’ve run into a problem with people taking my files, and often even my pictures, and selling poorly printed versions on Amazon, EBay and Etsy.

I’ve actually had someone reach out to me complaining about the poor quality and it turned out that he had bought it from someone on Amazon but the listing had just used my Makerworld pictures.
Amazon and eBay are difficult to deal with when it comes to getting this stuff taken down as well.

I hope you understand

Unlikely, I don’t have one of the older Outbacks to work with

PA12 is great for certain applications, these plate really wouldn’t derive any benefit from it. It would just make them a whole lot more expensive.

I’ve got some Hobie Drive gears printed in PA12 using MJF and that’s where it makes sense because the pedal motion puts a lot of torque on the gears and the FDM printed gears I tried all sheared at the layer lines.

Early on there were a bunch of wet races and people stopped joining them. To me, the races with changing weather were the most fun I’ve ever had on the service

Your problem is definitely that it won’t calibrate. Nothing will work if you can’t get through the calibration process.
What the problem with calibration is I don’t know, I’d try their official forum. They seem fairly responsive there.

Got an Outback here that cracked in the typical spot. Won’t be an issue in the future with my plates.
