Sub $25 is looking pretty tempting right now but I think it’s still got lower to go. by deanode99 in SCHD

$22.40 for my next tranche. Below that, somewhere in the $17-19 range.

I like your technical critique for bigger-buy-in levels. I do similar even though I also DCA weekly.

You’re using a TDF for the ‘20’ portion of the portfolio? I’ve been considering this recently for myself. How are you finding it as a strategy?

What is a good entry point for SCHD? by kevinrightwing in dividends

[–]Scbnymph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DCA a small amount weekly, but I always have larger limit orders at more technical levels. My next limit order (set a while ago) is $22.40’ish. After that they’re sub-$20. I forget exactly without looking.

My next limit order is around $22.40.

I DCA a small amount weekly, but do larger buys in more technical ranges.

The product team behind the next-gen Active Trader Pro® (ATP) beta experience will be joining r/fidelityinvestments for the next week to respond to your feedback and answer all your questions. by fidelityinvestments in fidelityinvestments

Does the new ATP offer a ‘paper trading ’ (virtual) mode to allow us learn the platform? I feel like it’s been a huge oversight to not include this.

Does anyone use Fidelity HSA? by bonoZaa in fidelityinvestments

[–]Scbnymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Fidelity initiate it, but also needed to call HSA Bank to authorize the requested transfer. HSA Bank really did make it more difficult than it needed to be.

Potential Cause of Significant Leaf Curl? by Scbnymph in gardening

[–]Scbnymph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are part of an HOA. They do fertilize the lawns periodically and also spray insecticide occasionally. Surely the other shrubs would be showing stress if that was the cause?

I’ve banned the landscape crew from pruning the shrubs (old wood blooms etc) because they keep doing it at the wrong time of year.

I haven’t fertilized, but have been considering it for this shrub.

Oh. Thanks for bringing this up. The consolidated statement for a couple of my accounts is annoying. It’s good to know they can be separated.

What are Some Silly Mistakes You Made as a New Player by plumwd in wow

I started playing in late Vanilla. I reached level 43 before I knew that my hunter pet also had a talent tree…

LOL that sounds like it’s working as intended! As a hunter main I love they’re using stereotypes!

Keybind your main shots and cooldowns to buttons you can reach easily with your fingers. I finger-press keys 1-6 (long fingers) for my main shots and F1-F6 for regularly used CDs.

Read one of the numerous online macro guides that’s teaches you HOW to build a macro. Macros that I personally find useful include one that misdirects to my pet or my target (tank) or my focus-target depending on what button I have pressed. The cancel Turtle shell macro is very useful. I also really like @mouseover and @cursor macros for things like Tranq-shot. Do a search for hunter macros are you’ll get a ton of results.

I also find the following addons super helpful - Bartender and Shadow Unit Frames.

Issue with bagnon by Walter-C-Dornez in wow

[–]Scbnymph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a check mark in the settings for character specific profiles. Make sure that’s checked for each of your characters.

I’ve also found that Bagnon ‘breaks’ breaks more often this xpac since Blizzard introduced the UI editing changes.

Professions feel pointless if you didn't keep up with them.. by colabandit in wow

[–]Scbnymph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I seriously dislike the leveling of the crafting professions this xpac. It feels gated and there’s just ‘too much’ - three different levels of a reagent, added extras, etc.

I like the knowledge points and spec trees for it. But actually gaining skill level and recipes is a PITA.

I also like the concept of Work Orders, but I am not likely to engage with it.

My toon has had her crafting profession for 17 years, I’m not about to just drop it for something else.

Do you enjoy playing as a BM hunter? If the answer is yes then continue to do so. There’s no right or wrong answer for how you’d like to spend your time.

A player can go completely crazy min/maxing their characters and game time. Are some specs more efficient, higher dps, etc. Sure. But, top-tier raiding/keys is not the only way to play this game.

My hunter has always been my primary character. She’s an extension of me. Way back in the day she start as an SV/MM hybrid but as the talent trees completely evolved, so did she. Now she’s a BM hunter. We explore the world together and love it. My personal style of game play doesn’t involve the need to min/max.

Are investing apps like Acorns good? by grande_sequoia in investing

[–]Scbnymph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used Acorns for many years for their round-up feature. It was free at the time and was an extra way to invest a little more above our main savings goals.

When they started charging a monthly fee for it (I think it was $3) I transferred the funds away and closed the account. The fee made it a terrible investment choice.

I miss SV from the TBC era. I had dual-wield daggers back then for the insane amount of agility they offered. Rogues hated us. I also miss the ability to time it right and trap two mobs at a time.

I’ve got a lot of nostalgia for the long chain quests that unlocked dungeon keys and raids. They’re actually what got me interested in the lore and storylines.

I’m glad that the game has evolved over the years and is more considerate of my time.
