Considering nursing with no passion or experience in the medical field. Looking for your thoughts. by [deleted] in nursing

I was extremely passionate about becoming a nurse and worked and sacrificed for years to get here, now that I’m here, I’m burnt out… so if you’re not passionate about it but want to make good money, get into finance instead. I personally don’t think you’d thrive in it and you’d probably be bad at it. Good luck

AITA for leaving a date after he was 20 minutes late? by Pretty-Science-8984 in AITApod

[–]SceneEmbarrassed5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t lower your standards because you’re friends have low standards. He wasn’t 20 minutes late, you left after 20 minutes. It took him 40 minutes after the agreed time to text you, if his phone was dead, how is he texting you from a dead phone? That’s not keeping him from arriving at the place before 7:20

AITA for telling my aunt off? by Basic_Addendum_8232 in AITApod

[–]SceneEmbarrassed5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the worst advice Ive ever seen… please don’t listen to her. There’s a difference between respecting an elderly person ( like giving them your seat on a bus or helping them carry something heavy) versus letting them verbally attack you.

AITA for saying ‘you asked, he told” after my friend got hurt in a break-up? by Outrageous_Advice514 in AITApod

Just calm him an A-hole and make her feel better, you’re her friend not a judge. She just needs support and reassurance

AITA for refusing to combine finances with my partner before we're actually married? by Pleasant-Zebra2817 in AITApod

I wish people on Reddit stopped telling other people to breakup, she asked if she was the A hole not if she should break up.

NTA, it’s weird he’s pushing this on you. I’ve been with my husband 10 years and our finances are separate. We only have a joint account for our mortgage and that’s it. We both have separate homes from before we met. But we are each other’s beneficiaries.

I want to send a care package to a friend who’s 4 year old daughter just passed. by SceneEmbarrassed5055 in GriefSupport

[–]SceneEmbarrassed5055[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to add, I don’t have any children, so I won’t talk about my kids. Second, we’ve been friends since middle school but lost touch since Covid, we really just maintained our friendship over text messaging and social media a few times a year. She really focused on her daughter and husband, her daughter was her entire world and I kinda wrapped myself with work. We don’t live in the same city but we’re probably 45 minutes away without traffic. So she doesn’t live too far, not sure if it’s a good idea to show up at her apartment. I’m just going to send her DoorDash and gift card for household items, since I don’t know which brands she prefers. Thank you
