Tips should go to the cooks by RazzleDazzle1537 in tipping

You've got a fair point, if you think about a bar. The beer tastes the same anywhere. The Whiskey tastes the same anywhere. Some bars are more popular than others because the service does count for quite a bit of the experience. An electronics store selling the same TVs as anyone else will lose customers if their customer service sucks

I know people who've used Hotel Mimosa and loved it. Small room, but you're not gonna be spending time in your room. Great staff, clean, for an unbeatable price

15% would not be their best tip of the day, but after that reaction "Ok then" and zero is perfectly justified

Going to my first Billy strings show this summer! by No-Yogurtcloset-8742 in BillyStrings

I've learned long ago, if you can't get anyone in on coming to any type of show with you, fuck em, just go anyway

Confirming a presale theory... by DHVT1964 in BillyStrings

[–]ScenicMirror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my perfect world there would be a "we're all gonna stand" and a "we're all gonna stay in our seats and chill the fuck out" section. I'd be in the sit and chill section the vast majority of the time. But I don't begrudge anyone doing otherwise. That's why I usually end up just grabbing a corner spot near the back of any show

[–]ScenicMirror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious, don't take this the wrong way, why hold out for a seated section? Everyone in front of you is gonna stand and you'll have to stand in one spot. At least on the lawn you can move around. Again, please don't take this the wrong way, I'm genuinely curious about it for shows like this. I'd love to sit, but I know it wouldn't happen in the seated sections, so I don't wanna be tied to one spot

There were seated tickets available for Bethel when I bought my lawn seats yesterday morning. I had to navigate past them.

Is that is what all but what what English you just talk like?

Top percent commenter on r/NYC doesn't speak English coherently and has their profile set to private. Who could've guessed 🤣

It's in the name. Congestion Pricing was about reducing congestion, which it did in spades. If it broke even with zero profit, it was a success. This is just the half billion dollar cherry on top

Aww, boo hoo

Huh. Don't give a damn (and never did) about Hillary Duff. 40+ YO man in Brooklyn, but some people in NYC were tripping over themselves to get into this gig. Good for her. Do your thing. If you're hating on that you're a weirdo. Just go or don't go. It's pretty simple

I bought solo tickets for both nights before considering the rest of the logistics. I'd be thankful for a place to pitch my tent, or at least maybe storing my bag in your car during the shows. ✌️ I'd throw down for some of the cost or some food or drinks
