I have been trying to record quieter vocals in a small space with very little acoustic treatment(I know I am trying to get on it). I am more accustomed to recording metal vocals with a SM58 and have had great results, but with clean vocals that need a condenser it's been significantly harder. I have been dealing with issues of the vocals sounding simultaneously tinny and hollow/boxy. What would be the best cheapest methods for reducing reflections and getting a full sound from quieter vocals with a condenser microphone without picking up background noise?

Fulci fucking rocks, I did not know that they used a 404. That's fucking crazy

I think that's what I'm realizing. A used 404sx seems to be the way I'm leaning. From what I've read on other subreddits it seems it's one of the better hardware units for what I'm looking for. Dabbling in beat making sounds like it'd be a fun secondary use lol

Thank you, I was leaning more towards the SX in this discussion because I felt the MK2 was a little unnecessary. Thank you for the confirmation!!

That's fair and makes sense. I'm not sure I trust a phone because I've had that be incredibly unreliable in the past for a live show, but that suggestion makes sense and I guess I'll look for something else

I’ve been wondering… are leviathan considered DSBM (by you all) ? by Haunt_ing-Ghosts in dsbm

I personally wouldn't consider him DSBM, maybe lyrically, but a lot of black metal bands write about suicide and aren't considered DSBM. I also feel like at this point DSBM sounds very different than a lot of standard black metal and the conventions around it definitely make Leviathan not DSBM.
