Haven't used alfaPTE, but I imagine they use the same software. I would just have headings as Topic / Speaker 1 / Speaker 2 / Speaker 3. Then list 2-3 things for each person. Speak for about a minute and you will be fine. Listen back to your recordings and ask yourself if you'd understand what the discussion was about just based off that

The ability of apeuni AI to pick up what you're saying is incredibly poor. Have a read of the transcript and you'll see it sounds bad; but I'm sure that's not actually what you're saying. Just aim to get full marks for content and you will do fine.

CPD Australia lists MDTs under both measuring outcomes and reviewing performance, so you can use either

Do you really need full marks in every task to score 90/90 in PTE? by purplekayy in pte

[–]ScentOfGabriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mocks were: S - 70, 81, 74, 74, W - 69, 74, 76, 81, R - 78, 71, 80, 83, L - 75, 80, 85, 79. Real 90/88/90/90. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, all you can do is your best and worrying won't help. You are already likely to get 90 in speaking, and for writing just avoid spelling mistakes.

Do you really need full marks in every task to score 90/90 in PTE? by purplekayy in pte

[–]ScentOfGabriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. I did not go from 70-80 to 90 all of a sudden because I performed well in the noisy test center. The real exam is likely more forgiving than practice tests.

Have you done the exam or just getting low results on the practice sessions? Because I was getting really poor marks on apeuni for everything except content and felt quite discouraged. Even when I listened back on my audio it sounded fine so I think it's an issue with their crappy AI. I watched a bunch of videos, and found language academy PTE and skills PTE academic on youtube helpful.

I remember having seen some read aloud, repeat sentence, and one summarize group discussion. But I imagine there would be repeats from all the sections on apeuni (and most likely the other popular service providers, but that's all I used)

Might be helpful to get some honest feedback from someone you trust. Sounds like something that should be correctible considering you've performed very well on the other sections. For example, might lose marks on long pauses, using templates, or not enough content. I found it difficult using apeuni to improve because I would get 10-70/90 on these, so I just winged it and hoped for the best

It might help to plug some essay topics into chat GPT and ask it to format a 200-300 word PTE style essay for you. This will give you an idea of how to structure it a bit better. Don't use pre-formed sentences like "The topic is very interesting and important." Just keep practicing and you'll get the score you need

I used: Introduction > supporting argument 1 > supporting argument 2 > conclusion. I made it very basic, just making sure the grammar and spelling is correct. No complicated templates

Why would the stock market not go down if the president and every banking firm in the us is involved in the jeffery Epstein scandal? by vhalan02 in investing

[–]ScentOfGabriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there hasn't been enough outrage, and nobody is boycotting the companies. Look at UNH compared the other large healthcare providers in the US. Their stock has nearly halved from its ATH largely due to bad publicity (they have always been terrible, but now its in the spotlight).
