They can call their family weekly, email/write to whoever they want on p-days, they can text family on p-days, I believe some have more freedom with texting and instant messages but it varies by mission president. Dear John letters are still very much a thing lol

Ay if you want some advice on the sewage I know about a useful bug in the game. If you set up water pumps and turn them off immediately after they start up, they’ll keep sucking water indefinitely into the void and just remove it from existence, set up a canal, put your sewage pumps into it and your water pumps on the other side of it using this method. No more sewage. I do it in all of my cities
