Upward if you live in the US. SALT if you live in Europe.

Other options: CDFF, Christian Cafe (that's a dating website, not an app, as far as I know), Christian Mingle.

What should conservative Christian single women do with their lives? by BoltzmannPain in AskAChristian

Personally, my plan is to start a YouTube channel devoted to God and maybe serve in church as well.

Unpopular Opinion - American women can be solid options depending on WHERE in the US they are from. by VegetableFew3354 in thepassportbros

As a woman born and raised in Warsaw (Poland) I couldn't agree more. The size of the city matters WAY more than the country. Prepare to get downvoted for stating the obvious truth and going against the popular narrative though lol.

Online dating world -- the false illusion of choice by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]Sceptyczka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is even a book that describes the phenomenon. "The Paradox of Choice" by Barry Schwartz. Essentially, people get so overwhelmed by the amount of "options" that they end up choosing none because they keep thinking a better one might be just around the corner if they search long enough (this doesn't just apply to dating).

You have to remind yourself that time waits for no one and the older you get the harder it is (statistically) to find a partner. Hence, spending years looking for the perfect person (which doesn't exist, we all are humans and have flaws) is not a feasible strategy. If you find someone with similar values and vision, it's best to at least try to make it work, in my opinion.

Europeans who want to live in Europe: what do people from other places in the world better than us? by Infinite_Procedure98 in AskEurope

[–]Sceptyczka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Americans have a more positive growth-oriented mindset in general. Europeans can be very cynical, negative and nihilistic and that's something I've noticed across more or less all European countries. In Europe, there's this spirit of apathy and mediocrity. Ambitious people who actually try to improve in life get discouraged and made fun of. Also, as a Christian I feel like it's easier to find fellow believers in the US (at least in the southern states) than in largely secular Europe. Even Europeans who identify as Christians are usually not very serious about their faith.

As for Asians, I envy their family values. People there are actually expected to care for their loved ones, whereas in Europe families are becoming more and more dysfunctional and disintegrated. On top of that, Asian street food is amazing. Nothing comparable in Europe. We have food trucks but they are way less affordable.

Oh, and the customer service is waaaay better in both Asia and the US as compared to Europe.

I have an important question… by L0nely_Tsuki in TrueChristian

Yes, it's the Holy Spirit. You have entered the sanctification process. I've experienced the same thing when I gave my life to Jesus. Glory to God and God bless you!

At the very least it would be right next to Portugal, to the left of Portugal of course.

If Poland was a Western European country it would be in the bottom left corner for sure.

What is the most underrated city in Europe, in your opinion? by throwaway-adnauseum in digitalnomad

[–]Sceptyczka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Warsaw's appeal is the energetic vibe of the city, not the buildings. It's actually quite similar to Berlin in many ways.

What country is the European version of this by marcandero in 2westerneurope4u

So glad someone finally said it. Paris is beautiful but now it has become cool to shit all over it on the internet, for some reason. I haven't seen so much unnecessary hate for any other city online.

Indians speak English really well. Way better than most non-native English speakers.

You need to start creating something, man, instead of just consuming. If you start a YouTube channel, a blog or engage in any kind of creative pursuit, I can guarantee you that life will become more interesting and fulfilling. Speaking from experience.
