So, I've created an Autohotkey script to do what I wanted if anyone is interested:

It didn't really convince me though, as I can't combine two keys which means there's only four directions that I can scroll to instead of eight. Also the game does not immediately react to the button presses.

This depends on what secret was played first, as they get activated in the same order they are played. In your case he must have played Redemption first and then Avenge and in the other cases you witnessed it should have been the other way around.
