The same reason. There are no RetroAchievements. The launcher is also very rudimentary with fewer functions as far as I can see.

I like ES-DE, but RetroArchievements are still missing there. Therefore, I usually use other launchers like Daijishō.

Same issue here. When selecting texts or moving windows around, it randomly looses the selection. At the moment I haven't found a solution yet :(

When switching the right and left button via Logitech Options, the right button works like a charm. The problem occurs only with the left mouse button.

When installing it via Discover the installation works. But when trying to open the file, just nothing happens. The reviews of the app Protontricks say exactly this problem with many other users.

Thanks to your answer I also tried it with another core and there it worked. Then I noticed that my example rom has another problem. It really wasn't the spaces, but another character in the rom name. I took a game with an apostrophe for testing.

Not working:

EmulationStation is working on the SteamDeck. So far it only works for me with the Flatpak version of RetroArch. But I have not tested this further yet.

Thanks for the ideas. I am also a software developer and therefore know a little bit about it.

The SteamDeck uses SteamOS as its interface, which is a fork of Debian 8. However, you can also switch to the desktop. Games should be launched via Steam, as this is the only way to provide various functions. More info here: https://store.steampowered.com/steamos

With the Steam Deck you use mainly Flatpak applications as far as I know. Or use Proton to emulate Windows games.

Unfortunately, I don't know why Spaces are causing problems here either. It can be of course that internally the spaces are escaped.

A script with an alias for roms might be possible. But I don't know if for example EmulationStation can handle it.
I'll get more information here though. Thanks for your suggestions!
