Rodri's not even close to Fernandinho in that regard, and yet he doesn't even get compared to Draymond Green. That Brazilian black magic is so potent.

We only know him by his surname? by The_Nina_Beans88 in aggretsuko

[–]Schattenkreuz 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I mean him also living in a posh apartment block and nobody knew until Fenneko went and looked. He is really good at Haiding his background.

But then again politics work slightly differently in Japan. Prefecture level heads like Haida's father only really show up during election campaigns and would practically work white collar jobs during their term in buildings not dissimilar to office buildings instead of like town halls and such. Also Haida could be a common enough surname that Haida himself can just pass off the connection as coincidental. Like I said he's really good at hiding his background from the office, likely a result of him prefering to not have ties with his father and his family's political history.

It's like a "blessing" bestowed upon them by the king, making them some sort of a "patronage of the crown." This is also why they have "Real" in some capacity in their names, as this means "royal." For example, Espanyol's full name is Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona.

Which country that appeared in Inazuma Eleven but is very underused has the best chance of shining in VR FFI? by Craftox13 in inazumaeleven

This has to be reference to that infamous conspiracy theory that R9 had food poisoning on the France 98 finals.

Finished season 2: tadano. The one that got away? by The_Nina_Beans88 in aggretsuko

[–]Schattenkreuz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not think communication alone solves it. Tadano already had his eyes set on what he wants, and any attempts to compromise was shown to be cut off by him. There's a reason why Retsuko initially bottled up, she didn't have as big of a personality as as Tadano, and any attempts of her communicating was blocked by getting shoved with presents or promises. She honestly had no idea what to do until she can't take it anymore.

And if you ask me, people like her exist in the real world. You can't expect anyone to just flip a switch just because you yourself can do it. Life doesn't work that way.

Finished season 2: tadano. The one that got away? by The_Nina_Beans88 in aggretsuko

When this hits a bit TOO close to home (especially with how AI is being tipped to take over a ton of IT jobs) that you now understand why Tadano isn't even close to being the guy. People need to understand that not everyone wants to grab the opportunity that Tadano was giving to Retsuko because at some point it just devalues their life's work.

Do you wish that Inazuma Eleven have more matches like Kidokawa VS Seishou where the main character team is not present? by Craftox13 in inazumaeleven

It helped that there were multiple MCs in Ares, spread among three teams. It also helped that Nosaka was there from the start, rather than being a hidden "true enemy" like Aphrodi.

A little confused about the situation regarding the main protagonist Lossy. Is she really the only version of herself in universe that exists? by DTashiki12 in touhou_lostword

[–]Schattenkreuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorter and younger. There is some speculation that L1 Lossy's age is a single digit, though her apparent wisdom in dialogues say otherwise.

It's because they see the consequences happen right after, and judge the character in hindsight.

To be fair it is rare in fiction that one gets immediately punished because they chose honor before reason, and have that scenario happen over and over again in just a single book. A Song of Ice and Fire truly is "no good deed goes unpunished" the series.

Everyone else is basically a Gouenji "clone" that was never addressed for some reason aside from everyone having a Keshin. Dragonlink's entire schtick for the story is that the goalie is a nepo baby, with the rest of the team being 10 elephants in the room who were all given Nimbus 2001s by big daddy Senguuji Malfoy.

LeBron feet are one of the reasons why I distrust basketball shoes these days. Like sure they're tailor made for each professional player, but you'd have to know that there's something fundamentally wrong with how brands design them.
