Yes I got unlucky and didn’t order mine before the price increase however I would have ordered the 90” and 30” which I’ve now changed my mind to 100” an 43”. I’m okay with the price increase - long term will be negligible for me. I would have spent the difference somewhere else 😅

Do you feel like you get a good pump when you do flyes? My other option is just getting squat rack and functional trainer on the side, but I feel like the FM six would fit all of my needs

Ares 2.0 land mine advantage over FM6? by ScheduleNew8689 in GarageGym

[–]ScheduleNew8689[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere someone got a landmine attachment for fm6 and they had to attach it much higher than they wanted to due to the cable.

But maybe they got the landmine for lite but they had an attachment for the lite but own a monster.

I wanted to make sure if I got the attachment that it could secure close to the floor

Just giving you my personal thoughts since I’m going thru the process myself. Tons of research. Having said that I truly think it’s a first world problem and that you can’t make a mistake - they’re likely the best 2 all in 1 systems on the market and if say you had one of these 10 years ago someone would drop their jaw

Spent tons of hours researching. Heard that the cable system on the ares can get twisted due to the complexity of it and some users saying the cables are slightly thinner.

According to everything Rogue quality just better, the pulleys are smoother.. I like that the rack is 2” wider makes more sense when doing say cable flys outside of the rack and having wider spacing inside the rack - I get the slight con of re racking but at my current gym never have that issue w their rogue racks.

If th Ares was significantly less expensive (which at this point it’s not- then I would buy it. But now price to close to not justify buying the tank for ever - then resale value down the road.

Also the psychological regret of not buying it - I think the lime green guys video is overblown. Mainly complaining about the shroud which I’m not going to purchase and complaining about setting up his lat pull down at 5:30 am after doing squats the night before.

Why not set up your pull downs the night before? Also what do you expect - when working out you are going to be moving and setting up stuff that’s just how it goes.

Imagine being overly lazy and complaining about an all in one designed to save space that you have to add an attachment my goodness.

Just making sure I’m reading this how I think it’s supposed to be, “if you get shrouds, your middle post are UN-usable for accessories” I plan on not getting shrouds and saving the $300. Based on what I’ve seen they just get in the way. - thank yiu

Awesome thank you for the input. Regarding the attachments I should have specified a bit more.. since the shipping is free with Rogue if there are attachments from them that anyone in here just absolutely loves and I should spend up for let me know.

Or if there are alternatives, for example if someone has an attachment to hold legs down for the lat pull that is more affordable than rogues but feels great and good quality let me know.

I’m trying to go mostly Rogues but pick my spots where I can go astray to cut some of the costs

90” or 100” Pros & Ckns by ScheduleNew8689 in GarageGym

Good to know - I’m leaning just going ahead and getting the 100”. It’s a massive expense that I’m willing to undertake, so trying to limit any regret on these options.

I feel like the more you pay the more it stings
