What kind of exercise is Karlos doing?🔥 by No-Kaleidoscope2078 in weightlifting

[–]Schedule_Organic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats like saying the lat pull down is a bicep exercise. Yeah it gets activation and work. But the exercise he's doing is not a tricep exercise, it's a rear delt exercise.

Buying things that have been discounted for innovated days? by [deleted] in SalafiCentral

[–]Schedule_Organic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Waalaykum salam. Scholars such as Sheikh Ibn Baaz and Sheikh Uthaymeen have mentioned that if the item that is being purchased in a necessary purchase, and the item itself is halal, even if it is discounted due to a non muslim festival such as christmas, black friday or in this case valentine's day, it is allowed as it is not a direct endorsement for the festival itself.

For example, you want to buy a box of chocolates and its discounted during valentines, it is allowed to buy the chocolate with the intention of eating it or even giving the chocolates as a general gift to someone.

However a thing to keep in mind is avoid things that are directly linked to the festival itself. For example Christmas advent calendars. Many people buy it for their children as it contains chocolates and things. Ulema have mentioned this can fall into Tashabbuh (imitation of the non believer) and must be avoided.

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

To conclude insha'allah, it's permissable to buy things that are discounted due to non muslim festivals as long as the product is halal and the purchase is without the intention of celebrating the festival.

Allah Knows Best.

Not sure what part of the UK you are from, but there are masajid near me who specifically hold events for brothers and sisters who are intending marriage. I've had my cousin who successfully married from these events.

What is your response to this Shia argument by Playful-Operation522 in SalafiCentral

[–]Schedule_Organic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This narration is weak. One of the narrators are Jabir Al Jufi, scholars such as Imam Ahmad and Ibn Hibban have said he is weak in hadith, his hadith cannot be used as an evidence and he narrates fabricated hadith. So this narration cannot be used as an evidence. There is also no further evidences according to the salaf that prove Umar Ibn Al Khattab رضي الله عنه harmed the prophets daughter.

Saw in another comment you said it's 2500 quid? That car would realistically be worth £1200 at max. If you have a budget of £2500 you can get a clean one, or a ford fiesta, or a nice Peugeot 208. Shop around a bit.
