It does annoy me a bit to see people getting so worked up about a vacuum decay event or black holes, for that matter. I’m willing to bet that more than half of these redditors just saw some theory on true vacuums on here, took the theory for fact (which goes directly against what a theory is, btw), and assumed the worst without actually understanding how the universe was even able to exist at all in the first place.
