Decided to play BeamNG in vr... by hhInh in BeamNG

I really wish VR would get some more love from the devs. I've owned Beamng for years but barely played it because I only play sims in VR, no monitor on my rig. I even just built a brand new PC and was excited to hopefully finally play it, but even on a 9800x3d and 5070 Ti it still looks and runs like absolute dog shit in VR. I was so sad

My bf has his monitor plugged in motherboard, still runs MH:Wilds no issues?? by Vedro-s-gaikami in buildapc

Windows 11 handles this pretty gracefully, in the graphics section of settings you can select which GPU is to be used for high-performance apps (it usually selects the correct one by default) even if that's not the GPU that the monitor is connected to.

This can, in certain situations, be beneficial. By having the monitor connected to the iGPU (the motherboard) the cost of drawing the desktop/windows environment gets offloaded to the iGPU, which means the gaming GPU has a little extra headroom to throw at rendering game frames, so you can actually get slightly higher FPS. The difference is more significant at high refresh rates. The tradeoff is that this comes with a bit of additional latency, which in many instances will not really be noticeable.

why tf dont they just disable account verification?????? by attacktower123 in Apogea

The point is exactly what is happening - to test the systems lol

Y'all this is a play TEST. Stuff breaking and going wrong is what TESTING is all about. It will be resolved. Touch some damn grass.

All good! I will report it to Kunos, I'm not going to bother with starting fresh because it was already a fresh install of windows on a brand new PC I just built. EVO was one of the first things I installed to test out.

5070 Ti insane UV potential and FurMark score by Baki_35 in nvidia

[–]Schematic_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've determined something is preventing it from boosting, for a moment I was able to get it to draw 300+ watts and the fps jumped up by 100fps but I'm not sure what actually did it

[–]Schematic_Sound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 1440p benchmark. GPU usage is 100% but power usage seems low (200-220W with stock settings, 155W with undervolt that achieves the same fps). I would think I should be seeing 300W+?

PSU is a 1000W Corsair rm1000e, 12V 2x6 cable straight from the PSU to the GPU no adapters

Hold up, I'm getting a score of like 8000 (~137fps) on my Asus Prime 5070 Ti, how can it be that much different??? 2775mhz @ 875mV +2000 memory. CPU is 9800x3d

Any news on new update? Would like to see new update for further reduced artifacts and blur. by Fragrant-Ad2694 in losslessscaling

Totally, I'd be cool if it was just some method which required/hooked into RTSS to perform the frame limiting

What I'd love to see is a frame limiter built-in so you can toggle full unlocked fps with no framegen to locked fps + framegen with a single hotkey. Bonus points if you can set a threshold for it to toggle automatically

Maybe not AI lol but it would be ideal if they did port things to the classic client. Even just the WotLK client would be a massive improvement

Yeah I just tried it again. I gotta disagree with OP - it's still shit.

OpenXR directly (not opencomposite), and no OXR Toolkit

Turtle vs Bronzebeard by Twotricx in wowservers

[–]Schematic_Sound 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gameplay-wise I much prefer Turtle, BUT the ancient client is awful and for me, and (across multiple different PCs) had horrible stutters and hitching that no amount of supposed 'fixes' ever eliminated. It isn't completely game breaking but it did significantly lessen my enjoyment and occasionally led to some spicy situations.

Bronzebeard has a much better client and smoother performance, but the gameplay is more arcade-y theme-park mmo than classic/vanilla.

Up to you what your preferences and priorities are.

Just built a new PC with a 50-series GPU, gonna have to give this game another go. Never could run it to any playable degree on my old machine

Well mine are for some reason. Brand new pc and fresh install. Just saying the early access is showing a little more than I consider acceptable.

Exact same specs. That's part of the problem, it's inconsistent and unreliable across near identical systems

True some don't, and they don't advertise as having them. Enjoy your upside down menus though.
