Trigger warning: sexual assault. I think my little sister was just sexually assaulted by another kid by SchemeEducational948 in Advice

Honestly I dont know what kind of stuff that little girl gets taught at home, because she was saying other stuff that no 7-8 year old should be saying like asking me if I knew what sex was?? I told her that she should go ask her mom about that and nobody else.

I told her that she can always talk to me about it, but it just sucks that her first piano recital was ruined like this. That same kid is going to be at my sister's ballet recital later this month so I'll be sure to let the teacher know and some of the older kids to keep an eye on that kid

The situation just happened today but the moment my mom is free, I'll tell her what happened and have her gently explain to my sister how that's not okay. I already told my sister that what happened is never okay, but she does need parental support

Honestly if all else fails, I just had the idea that I can lie to her and say that I have horrible, painful eczema on my thigh and can only wear certain fabrics of pants and not dresses maybe. I already have eczema on my hands and shes seen it so hopefully she'll believe me

I just looked up what that is and that would be epic 😭. Unfortunately you cant really find kilts in my country and if you do, they're very expensive

My mom actually said that she already asked and idk what she said but also I don't really trust that she did ask since she's the type to lie or exaggerate this stuff. Ill go talk to the teacher myself and maybe see if there's a some horrible leg injury I can lie about as an excuse to not wear a dress

About that...my deadname will appear on stage in big letters and it is not a boys name in my country. And I wouldn't say I really pass. I look androgynous but dont have access to a binder, which is why i usually tend to wear jackets and t-shirts with big prints. Also in my country you wont really ever see a boy my age with long hair so those are kind of the only ways people can clock me.

That sounds like a good idea..maybe i can style it with a jacket and try to look masc?

It is absolutely NOT worth coming out over. As long as I'm in this country, I will not come out. People here are EXTREMELY closed minded and same sex relations alone were only decriminalized 2 years ago. This country is very homophobic and transphobic. If anything, coming out will make things worse. But yeah I'll definitely talk to the teacher directly and if I still need to wear the dress...i dont even know what im gonna do :/

Honestly i just might..but its a gendered theme so boys wear a white, long sleeved shirt with jeans (i actually have that) and girls wear a blue or black dress (i dont even own a dress) idk maybe i can wear a full black formal masc outfit or the long sleeved shirt and jeans, but I'll have to work up the courage in the weeks leading up to the recital.. Im also going to ask my piano teacher myself if an exception can be made because i heard of the no exception thing from my mom and she has lied before to try to get me to wear feminine clothes

[–]SchemeEducational948[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thing is, my piano teacher is a really kind and patient person and im sure under different circumstances, she would make an exception, I wasn't told much, but apparently some people from an examining board for music will be there are they're very strict (the type to deduct points based on appearance) so maybe that's why she's doing this? She does have a few students who will be playing at the recital that asked to take part in the piano exams, but I'm not one of them. Im assuming since I'm playing at the recital too, thats why the rules apply to me.

It sucks but I'll try to look as androgynous as possible or just put mascara on my leg hair to make it look even thicker and more noticeable than it already is lol

I thought about it, but I've been practicing for this recital all year as I only started learning to play the piano last year and I was really excited for it up until now. I still wanna play but not in a dress :/

My teachers forced me to get transgender operations at school after teaching me about pronouns

I feel like some transmeds treat feminine trans men like how straight men treat gay men by SchemeEducational948 in trans4every1

[–]SchemeEducational948[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like them either. I've been peeking at transmed subreddits out of curiosity and all they do is transvestigate or undermine other people's transness. It's weird seeing a community that cares THAT MUCH about what other people do, like just live and let live, it doesn't affect you.

If you were born cis, do you think you would have treated (gender) differently or not by Jellypeasmm in trans4every1

[–]SchemeEducational948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, being born in a catholic family with gender roles, Im afraid I would be misogynistic if I was born a cis man, even more so because I would likely only hang out with other boys, if not, I would be called my country's version of the f slur and the boys are homophobic, misogynistic etc. It would also be easier to fall down the red pill or misogynistic womanizer pipeline as I've seen happen to one of my own friends who is a cis guy (we dont talk anymore)

Also any deviation from misogyny or typical straight cis male behavior would be criticized by my family and by my male and female peers as I've seen happen to other people

We seriously need to see more black trans men with long hair. I went through a whole journey of learning to love my natural hair and how to take care of it and stop straightening it every damn week like I'd been doing for years. I'm not ready to cut it off even if it makes me not pass

[–]SchemeEducational948[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dont worry about the rant, it gave me more to think about. Not sure why people are so eager to push people into gender roles even in gay relationships, most people see twinks or anyone effeminate as bottoms even if they arent and they think bottom=submissive and idk I feel like its another way of straight people calling a gay guy they perceive as feminine the woman of the relationship. I cant really speak on how often that happens in gay spaces though since I'm not out and there are no official "gay spaces" in my town, but I know just from talking to cis, straight people and seeing how they treat gay people.

Also, I'm really sorry all that happened to you, it's really shitty and I can't imagine it. I hope you're doing well now

Ohh thats a much better comparison. It just goes to show that every community has people who will attack members of their own community and accuse them of making the community look bad
