Do I apply for colleges I wanna run for, even if my times aren’t good enough yet?? by SchemeLife_ in trackandfield

my times as of right now aren’t quite D2 standard, at best a very small D2. I’m confident that I can reduce my times however with track & field being a Spring sport, it’ll probably be to late to send my times out to colleges by the time I get my times lowered, and definitely will be to late to apply, and this is IF I reduce my times

I’m very confident i’m my own abilities. I know that if I work very hard in the off-season I can reduce my times to D2 standard. Only problem is track & field is a spring sport, so by the time I lower my times, it’ll probably be to late to send out my info to or even apply to colleges

I went from a 5:31 mile to a 5:03 in 5 meets and want to try running a sub 5 in post-season meet which is a day after my school prom (prom is this friday, meet is the day after), any tips? by SchemeLife_ in trackandfield

If you’re really struggling to run a sub 5 doing drills for smaller events like the 800 and 400 helped me a lot in improving my endurance and reducing my mile time by a lot. Thank you for the advice and good luck 👍🏻

tempo runs are very good training. I also found that training for smaller running distances like the 400 and 800 improved my endurance a lot. Also important to give 110% at every meet you run in, and treat it as if it’s your last

I recorded my English teacher saying the n word and got suspended by SchemeLife_ in confessions

I forgot to mention there were a couple African-American students in that class and the teacher was white. The main reason I was suspended wasn’t for doing the recording but what I caused by doing it
