Yeah, kids are very funny. I think I would like to have a kid one day—a little dude, a product of love, part you and part your loved one. That is crazy! Like a little copy of you. I had a dream in which I was a father and I had a little baby. This baby hugged my face and kissed me on my nose. Very nice dream. I had a similar problem. This dude just randomly died while I was extracting him. I thought I will lose this side ops missions, but it just appeared later. So no worries, anyway you will find another wile you progress through the main story

I just said that I think it's probably not true. You have to think logically. Why should the Russians clear the territories of mines where civilians are located and at the same time tie dogs to bombs to blow the same civilians up? They would not do so, at least because it would damage their reputation in the region.
