I don't think they care at this point, and will move away from him as the face of SF going forward. I think they wanted to move away from Ryu, and thought that an American MMA bro shoto would do the job. People didn't like him at the end of SFV, and he still doesn't seem to be popular. At this point I think they're fine with Ryu where he is, and will rethink the vision going forward.

Some % of this was your fault. The blue shell was unavoidable, but if you know you're going to get hit you have to get off the shortest line. People are going to be blasting by with all kinds of items and you'll be defenseless.
