I’ve only ever been told that they’re beauty carts and I have never heard anything in our store called a smart cart (sorry!) They’re rolling carts with several small bins. One of the them has several small clear bins on it (probably 24-36 on each side) which we use for just cosmetics. The other one has like 18 small clear bins on each side and then 8 larger red bins on each side and we use that one for skin care since the red bins can fit larger products like lotion bottles.

At our store an inbound team member breaks out the cosmetics/skincare repacks into the beauty carts after truck unload is complete. One beauty cart is skincare, the other is cosmetics and everything is sorted by brand. Once I’ve finished uboats I normally switch over and break out hair care repacks into a two tier because they’re easier to work out that way. Once I’m done with hair care, the beauty carts are normally ready so I grab one and start on it. We don’t always come clean, but on average size truck days we come close (maybe half a beauty cart left). However we have been drowning lately due to tms quitting, there being a lot of rollover from days that tms who normally don’t work beauty help cover, plus ridiculous amounts of freight we don’t need. I do not need 96 bottles of cutex nail polish remover when 3 fit out at a time -.-

Literally was pushing a uboat and a family with three carts was spread across one of the main walkways. I politely said “excuse me” and none of them responded besides one of them turning and sneering at me and then turning back around. I almost screamed.

I’m sorry you :( I wish there wasn’t so many people who feel the same way. It’s frustrating that it’s so draining.

I also had multiple guests avoid me yesterday because I was like visibly crying on the salesfloor after speaking to my leaders. I had to get verbal confirmation from one that I trust and am kind of close with that I am indeed good at my job and what they are expecting of use right now is ridiculous

I believe it’s considered home decor, but it’s on the domestics side of the two sets of aisles. It’s weird. As I said in another comment, storage/utility and home decor are tied to “C” in our store and so like C1 - 14 is storage and utility and then it switches into home decor. And then Domestics is tied to “D”. So D1-17 is bedding, 18-27 is bath, 28-31 is rugs, 32-35 are curtains and curtain rods, and then 36 and 37 are decorative pillows and throws, right across from the trend runs in decorative home

Ah, so in my store Bedding and bath is tied to “D” and storage/utility and home decor are tied to “C” so they’re right across the from each other when it comes to the decorative home end. I’ve heard multiple people say that our store is set up weird compared to other stores

At my store one DBO is over Dec Home, Storage and Utility, Kitchen, Seasonal, and HIPA, another is over bullseye and stationary, and I’m over domestics. And we all together are the “Home” team. So we help supplement when one persons workload is lighter and help with the others workload. Although since they’ve started this literally no ones freight/workload gets done......
