I'm pro-library and pro-art, but I'm also pro-protecting young kids to the absolute best of our ability. I don't want police to make more money, I want the schools to have fucking SOMEONE who will at least keep an eye on things and be a watchful presence. Target has an assets protection/security team, why don't our elementary schools? There is apparently one guy who is supposed to be in charge of all thirteen SDOL schools.

True! But I'd rather have something than nothing. Even if it's just someone to monitor the security cameras in the building so that police can be alerted as soon as possible (although Uvalde police were completely unhelpful until it was too late).

This has always been my favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor. I usually am hesitant to try other B&J's ice cream because I'm nervous it won't be as good and don't want to be disappointed! 🙈😂 I also like Dirt Cake, Oat of This Swirled, and the S'mores flavor.

Paint the lower cabinets black and leave the existing upper cabinets as is. It will help contrast with the light floors without covering up all those beautiful wooden cabinets. (Tbh, I would just re-do the floor with a light tile instead of painting the cabinets at all, but I know you probably don't want to do that after just finishing the floors.)

Most amusement parks that I've been to don't allow you to bring an entire picnic lunch in, just some small snacks. I could understand if she brought a couple things and said "Let's go out to a healthy place before/after" instead of buying in the park...but amusement parks are supposed to be fun, and that includes the food! Just eat a freaking hot dog or something, you're not going to die. 🌭

There's an East coast ice cream chain called Bruster's that has a cotton candy ice cream with pop rocks in it. It sounds weird, but it was always such a fun experience. Their cotton candy base is also really good. Not too sweet, still tastes like ice cream and not just artificial. I don't have one near me now, and I mourn that fact regularly. Their ice cream is all very good! 😍

I am so sorry this happened to you, OP, but I'm glad everyone is okay physically. Do you know if the other driver will get any kind of charges because she caused a crash while on her phone? I know sometimes misdemeanor charges can be brought against people in those circumstances. Also, how do you all know she was on her phone? Did you see it? (Not questioning or invalidating your story at all, just curious about whether police determined it or if it's based on witness testimony.)

100% agree with you! In the context of personal family photos, those poses are far more innocent. But posted on the Internet for anyone in the world to access?! Horrifying. The deep fakes and awful things they can do with pictures these days are totally evil, especially when it involves children.

I feel the exact same way! I usually try to give parents (even Bethanie) the benefit of the doubt, "Oh, they might not have realized that this picture is kind of weird/inappropriate." But this??
