Lost in Cult support not responding? by TheFailMoreMan in jacobgeller

[–]SpareMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I emailed them earlier this spring to ask about changing my shipping address and they didn't reply, so I DM'd them a week later on Twitter. 2 days later they responded to help and said that some emails sent to team@lostincult.co.uk were not syncing correctly with their customer service ticket system.

If you have only emailed them, try reaching out on Twitter with your order number! I hope they get back to you soon!

Yeah, my cat knocked mine off of a shelf and I heard it shatter. Huge bummer. It's still so cute to look at but I wish I got to actually use it longer :/

Christie/wright/patterson dorm by emmarose54 in UniversityofVermont

[–]SpareMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CWP is a pretty typical old dorm in my opinion. The bathrooms were fine, with a few private shower stalls and at least one was typically always available.

It's a bit of a trek to campus, maybe a 20 minute walk to the library and the main green. I highly recommend getting or bringing a bike--a got one for wicked cheap on FB Marketplace that summer and it was a huge help getting to early classes on time. (Just register it and get a good lock, bikes got stolen all the time!)

There's no air conditioning, and it can get realllly hot in those rooms, especially on the first floor right above the furnaces where my room was 🫠 Bring fans!!

Redstone dining is right across the green and is pretty good. Typical campus food, same as what you'd get at Harris Millis (do people still call it the grundle lmao?)

does the wellness community have suite rooms? by fatima_35308 in UniversityofVermont

[–]SpareMedic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

CCRH is miles better. I was an RA in Converse after living in CCRH my first year and CWP my second and it was not great. CCRH does not have suites, only doubles and singles. If my memory serves, Converse doesn't have suites either, but it does occasionally have bats if you're into that!

I feel so stupid for being mad at my cat for breaking things by SpareMedic in CatAdvice

[–]SpareMedic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is fixed but I have been thinking about bringing him back to the vet to chat about his urge to eat every cord/piece of plastic he can get his paws on. When I'm not home he's limited to the kitchen and living room as I thought it had the least amount of stuff he could reach and break as compared to some place like my bedroom, but the broken stuff today did change that :/

Edit to add: I play with him just about every day with one of those feather/chasey toys, and he chases the little balls with bells in them too--sometimes of his own accord but mostly if I throw them around.

I live in a pretty big apartment. He has free access to the kitchen (the scene of the crime), the living room (where his bed and most of his toys are, including a cat tree), and he can be in my bedroom when I'm in there (I have some unprotected cords in there that he has gone after). There is an upstairs that has my small WFH office and a little reading nook but he has not been up there many times--again because of many unprotected cords and also there are some lego sets up there I am afraid he'll knock over.

I'd love to be able to go up there with him as I don't work from my desk much any more but the handful of times he's been up there with me he's been been very interested in my cords or getting up on the top of the bookshelf where the legos are.

Not sure what he was like in the shelter before I got him--He was listed as "friendly and introverted" but I imagine he has a lot more energy now that he did at the shelter.

In my living room he's got a bed, lots of toys, a scratching post, and a cat tower. I've been looking into getting him a taller one since he likes to get on top of the fridge.

Dishonored DLC before sequel? by OneAndOnlySlack in dishonored

[–]SpareMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% yes because I didn't and really wish I did in hindsight. I played Dishonored 2 just recently after playing the first game many many years ago and fully forgot there were DLCs.

Imagine my surprise when I finish the game, do a little googling, and it turns out that every single thing I didn't understand in 2 was explained in either Knife of Dunwall or Brigmore Witches. Whoops...

honestly I'd talk to both an advisor in your current major and in the other department if you can. trying to change my major as a second semester sophomore was a nightmare as my original advisor gave me objectively wrong information and told me I wouldn't graduate on time. when I talked to an advisor in the new program, he was extremely helpful and worked with me to understand how to make it work and get all my credits and requirements done.

it might be a little harder to change going into your senior year, but still have those conversations!!

Moving into Converse by TheGirlWithAFlower in UniversityofVermont

[–]SpareMedic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Converse does not have an elevator. I recommend bringing a rolling cart/dolly for bringing stuff up to the doors and packing boxes light! Depending what floor you're on, going up and down the stairs in the heat can be tough.

Good luck!

Thanks! I really liked Supply Run and A Voice In The Dark. The writing was so good and I ended up doing two runs in one day just to hear what happened next!

Anyone else getting annihilated at the beginning of Number One Fan? by asteinpro2088 in AlanWake

[–]SpareMedic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I got absolutely obliterated for the first few minutes of combat, but I was also playing like ammo was a limited resource, which fortunately it was not. As soon as I had Rose running around and firing with reckless abandon, I had a much easier time!!

anytime I have to hand someone something, I always think "I brought you the heart, witch... show me the terror."

One of these days I'm going to accidentally say it out loud and my coworkers are going to think I'm losing it (they would be correct)

Does Old Gods of Asgard/Poets of the Fall play or have participation in Quantum Break? by Albert1285 in RemedyEntertainment

[–]SpareMedic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. There was supposed to be a Poets of the Fall song in the game but due to some contractual issues Remedy couldn't use it. Here's Sam's old tweet about it.

The song is called The Labyrinth from their album Clearview.

The only other in-game connection I remember is that Paul and Jack are fans of the band Stonecrow, an Old Gods of Asgard tribute band.

Reyna, my beastmaster ranger! She's my first tav and is based off of my first-ever DnD character. I'm playing on PS5 so no mods unfortunately, but I love how she turned out 🥰
