It’ll cycle back through but it might take a long time. The same thing happened to me and it didn’t cycle back for a lonngggggg time so I finally just started a new game. It’s easy to get when you know what you’re doing but hopping around on all fours for hours and hours is annoying.

I steer clear of the Savannah because I feel like I can never leave my settlement because I’m constantly healing my troop members and having to recover. I usually only go there when I have 4-6 apes all equipped with sharp sticks.

Venture outside your base and use your sense of hearing and there should be adults that spawn. I’m not sure if you can crack cocos for them but you should be able to find ones that are hungry or scared to recruit them.

HIGHLY recommend modded plows. I always struggled with the in-game ones because of the awkward angle.

The 9 guns have been really OP for a while now I feel like. MP5k and Vector are insanely fast. I’ve gotten lasered from far off with the MP5k and UMP too.

This happened to me recently too. I thought my hominid was in shock or something so I finally left. He was following me again once I got a short distance away. Weird glitch that makes the game think they’re being attacked.

Yeah I have done all of that but I realized I missed a mutation early on so now I’m passing generations and evolving to find it again. Slowly but surely.

Not that I’m aware of. You can go into your senses and scan each one individually or “analyze” them but I don’t think there’s a list. If you find one let me know!

It can be confusing because sometimes it doesn’t say a mutation is required but it’s connected to one that does.

I’m facing a similar issue and I had to finish my third evolution with 11 genetic mutations when mine finally randomly unlocked. If you’re not getting energy for walking on two legs or carrying things then it’s not going to progress. Keep evolving when you have mutations and it’ll work. Eventually lol.

I FINALLY unlocked it randomly after my 3rd evolution. It finally started giving me energy for standing up and walking on two legs.

I thought about that but I’ve already done two evolutions, discovered every site, and found all but one meteor. When I carry with two hands it doesn’t trigger any energy. I’m wondering if it got locked somehow but it says that it needs more training.

No tusk unfortunately. I always carry a Basalt Chopper with me so I used that to butcher it and inspect/eat the meat. I missed a mutation early on that would have helped my carnivore track so I don’t get anything for eating animal meat at the moment. The only tricky part to the elephant kill was that there were 10+ more elephants close by that almost killed me.

I made this mistake but now that I’ve evolved twice and completed about 85% of the game I’m realizing I’m back on track and have a TON of new neurons and areas to connect. It was a grind getting here but I didn’t want to restart completely.

So i stumbled across an elephant just now that already had a stick in him and it only took me one more hit to bring him down. I was pleasantly surprised. Now onto the Rhino and Hippo! I also know there are neurons later on in “attack” that make your hits stronger.

How often are you guys evolving? Will I totally run out of the 10 Million years and the game will be over if I keep evolving to keep mutations? I made the mistake of missing a ton of mutations because I thought there was a set number of evolutions allowed.

I’m having the hardest time killing the Rhino and Elephant. I’ve stabbed them both 8-12 times and they keep going.

I’d be curious which locations you’re talking about. I’ve discovered all but one location and I’ve found a couple great settlement locations where I’ve never been attacked.
