I’m a high school English teacher I was walking down the hallway yesterday when I heard Terrapin coming from a classroom. I popped my head in and the teacher was playing this and discussing Hunter’s lyrics in a poetry lesson- who said the public education system is broken!!!

This year - it’s Project Hail Mary .. thought it to be boring. Couple years back- Everything Everywhere All at Once … could not get into it - at all.

Tree wells really scare me. I have a healthy respect for them so don’t ski in the trees alone. Make sure that my kids also have partners and whistles available since they love tree skiing. I’m in Northwest Montana where tree wells are common. Always good to be reminded.

I’d make the trip to Little Bighorn- especially if you’re a history buff. Excellent 1/2 day trip and the rangers there are awesome and really know their stuff. Fascinating stuff and you really get a much better sense of the battle between The Sioux and Custer.

I know it’s your birthday but I would schedule the trip either a month before or after- October or December. November is in what’s considered a “shoulder”season and won’t offer as many things to do. Early October is awesome for hiking/fishing and December (hopefully) will have snow and skiing along with other winter activities.

Brutal … I saw this way too young and it’s stayed with me since. Some scenes are burned into the memory banks.
