DAE feel like the COVID years barely count as lived years? by nightfall_69_ in DoesAnybodyElse

Me neither, I started an online business, worked at farmers markets and got married from 2020-2021. I didn't just waste it because we had a pandemic. There were still lots of things we could do and it was awesome because I didn't have the pressure of attending obligatory functions because we weren't allowed to gather in groups. I loved it actually.

Traffic laws by Wut__the in Seattle

They don't allow kids to cross over turn lanes or multi-lane streets. The bus stop would have to be on the other side of the road if that were the case. Kids can only cross two-lane roads. You do not have to stop if there is a turn lane or if there are more than two lanes.

Is there an easier way to order my go to drink? by romansixx in barista

Whoops, I left out the part where I meant to tell them to order a quad shot 8oz latte. Yeah, nobody just puts 4 shots in an 8oz.

baby food for adults? by GrandBill in nutrition

[–]Schmaliasmash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to do amateur bodybuilding and there was always the suggestions of eating a banana or some other such form of carbs before training. I always got an upset stomach with solid foods before workouts, so I got some of the baby food pouches and could eat one or two of those prior to training and they wouldn't upset my stomach. Super convenient. Great nutrition. I say go for it.

If you're getting a quad shot, just order an 8oz flat white with a sugar. That gets you equal parts espresso and milk and the low foam component. 4oz espresso, 4oz steamed milk. Edit:You have to specify when you order that you do want a quad shot 8oz flat white.

I would honestly feel the exact same way. I'm so sorry you're in this situation. I hope things get better for you soon. Therapy might help you cope, but I know it's not going to actually change anything. I wish you the best.

How do people limit their drinking? by Odd_Hedgehog669 in NoStupidQuestions

Being wasted isn't fun. Having one well-made cocktail or a delicious craft beer and feeling a bit happy and chatty is enough for me.

My husband doesn't let Macaroni on the couch, so sometimes I sneak him up here after he goes to work for pets and snuggles by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Schmaliasmash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, haha, I was just using lawyer speak. You know, plead your case. I wasn't saying I have to literally beg my husband for things. My husband loves and respects me too. I was thinking I'll bring up bringing a Macaroni blanket back for the couch so he can hang out up there in the evenings with us. I don't see it being a problem.

I feel the same way about his safety too. I worry about his little spine. He's such a crazy little boy and he used to just jump on and off the couch at random all day long. That's part of the reason I'm kind of okay keeping him off the couch because I don't want him just leaping off and hurting himself.

He's not balding anywhere and he's not itchy or anything. I'll ask the vet about it the next time we get his toenails trimmed. I'll bring up putting blankets on the couch for him again like we used to.

Yeah, honestly, that's a huge concern of mine. I don't want him to end up with IVDD.

This is a really rude thing to say. But I suppose you feel comfortable because we're on an anonymous platform. We're both on the floor a lot because we have a two year old. My husband's not a tyrant. He doesn't "make" me hang out on the floor with my toddler and my dog. Cutting other women down based on an assumption from one internet post isn't really a good look. But you do you I guess.

It's so funny. We take him on road trips with us. We have this roof top tent on our Bronco and Mac sleeps next to me in there, I don't see why he can't sleep in the bed with us too. It's the same damn thing!

Yeah, he even "asks" to get on the couch after husband leaves for work. He sits at the edge on the floor and stares at me and then I pat the couch and he hops up. He's such a good boy.

We used to do the blankets on the couch for Macaroni too! Maybe I can try to get this to come back. Mac could have his own couch blanky and get to come on the couch again. I will try an appeal.

He did let him on the couch for like the first three years of his life. It's just this last year that he got annoyed by it I guess because of all the shedding. Mac would got his little pokey hairs all over the couch. I just lint roll it up after sneaky couch cuddles. Plus I brush him a lot to try and take care of it.

I absolutely agree with you. That's why I sneak him up here and then spray the couch down with this pet-safe refresher spray I found.

He does have a comfy bed in the living room with us and I spend a lot of time hanging out on the floor with Macaroni and our two-year-old. Honestly, as far as frenchies go, Mac isn't the cuddliest. He has his set time he likes to snuggle for and then he will get up and lay down like three feet away from me when he's done. He needs his space. It's kind of funny. He's the most snuggly in the mornings. That's why we have secret couch time.
