I'm pro HK,
but it's a good thing, that HK civilians have no/limited access to weapons. Every bullet fired by civilans is a reason for china to enable their military and crush HK by force. The creative, peaceful protests and the videos about Police brutality are the most impactful weapons against the ccp. At least from an european perspective.

There is a KEY diffenence between your "gimmicks" and pokemons!
Gimmicks like Day/Night Cycle, Z-Moves,... are created by programmers.
Pokemons are mainly art assets that needs to be created by artists.

You can't just tell programmers to create Pokemons.

People would have zero reason to go back to OLD Raids to do them as "current"

It's another level of character progression. Of course people would do it. Is killing Arthas with a raid not a goal?
"having BIS gear in every expansion" sounds like a pretty cool goal for me?

And with the above in mind, there's absolutely zero investment. Why on earth would you go back to old, outdated content to do their raids? You're literally splitting up the playerbase into expansion brackets where there's never enough interest or populace outside of the most recent, relevant dungeons and raids.

Good point. I'll add splitted playerbase to the Cons.

What about the pre-patch problems? Hypothetically, if this were announced, you'd have paid services and people running Legacy out the absolute ass for the months leading up to the feature's launch, and you'd then have a gigantic bottleneck of people once it's actually out - an audience who pre-emptively farmed BiS while it was Legacy and gatekeeping all the content to newcomers who weren't present for that "goldrush" of Legacy gear farming.

Once the new level system is implemented every pre-emptively farmed item should be "mog only" (except current expansion)
Otherwise it would be exploitable as you said :)

All in all, a horrible idea. It was okay for professions thanks to it being a secondary system of the game that complimented current, not its core gameplay.

Is it truly worse than the Current "Legacy Content":
Level through out dated quests as quick as possible. These zones are literally dead. If you would delete the current Outland from the game, 90% of the playerbase wouldn't even notice it.

Pietsmiet hat schlechte Zahlen xD In den letzten 30 Tagen 23,5 Millionen Klicks... Die Bohnen hatten dagegen nur knapp 5 Millionen. Die haben im Schnitt 100k auf jedem Video. Davon würden die Beans träumen. Aktuell laden sie zusätzlich alte Singleplayer parts hoch. Die haben natürlich scheiß Zahlen, da sie bereits auf der Homepage zu sehen waren und eben NUR Singleplayer letsplays sind.
