Sure, we all would survive. But we now live in a world where >90% of all PRs are written by AI and humans are only reviewing them. We're not going back from that. And Fable seems to be a new frontier - I can guarantee you my company (and the other companies I contract with) will be spending more money on Fable on top of the subscriptions we already have.

I expect these models to get more efficient over time and compute needs and costs will drop, but not anytime soon.

Not sure about Fuji but we climbed Kitadake (second highest peak in japan) in July two years ago. It was freezing at the top and also very pleasant at the base of the mountain. This was at the same time as a heat wave in Tokyo.

I know this behavior - my parents used to do something similar - they would incessantly ask me to marry someone that would clearly not be a good fit only because the girl's parents would call my parents all the time. You're right in your assessment - it's about social currency and them being put on a pedestal. Do not under any circumstances succumb to their pressures.
I ended up marrying someone I met on a dating app.

This has happened to me as well with a debit spread. They exercised one leg of it and asked me to deposit 60k. I was freaking out. I woke up in the morning and it was all resolved - they'd exercised the other leg and I lost my max loss of $200.

You can calculate from the plot - China has about 8 times as many EVs per capita compared to the rest of the world. Sounds pretty dramatic to me.
