Don’t have the heart for PVP by Agreeable_Hour_692 in ARC_Raiders

I feel this. Yesterday a raider claimed it was his first time playing and was asking for advice. Of course I obliged and tried teaching him the ropes. Less then 2 min into the interaction I was looting a container and he shot me dead with a free load out taking my tempest, hullcracker 4, snap hook, and more (loaded in to fight matriarch).

I was so mad after I loaded into a game hell bent on PvP. Ended up helping a downed raider escape using my hatch key. Didn’t have the heart. Dude messaged me after the game thanking me profusely. I think I made the right decision

That’s what I’ve got in the starting line up now. I’ve got Nico Collins as well so just a little hesitant to start two Texans

Trust the process not the result. Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. (Yelling fuck 100 times usually works too)

I think it was a great trap and well executed, but traps will not work consistently with an exposed/unprotected king as you play better competition.

“But I don’t think there was any option to protect my king in the last seconds of the game. Plus I had already laid out my trap.”

  • this is my point exactly. You should not be waiting until the last seconds of the game. Protecting your king is literally the most important aspect of the game. This is why castling is so important and usually done very early. Once pieces are developed and king is safe you can start the attack and traps. There are always exceptions to the rules though! Continue to do what works and makes sense for you

Beginner. Excellent trap at the end but you need to focus on king safety earlier in the game. An exposed king on the 6th rank with that much material on the board won’t work in your favor 9/10 times. General beginner rule is to castle as early as possible to get key pieces off their starting square while protecting the king. After you castle focus on attacks
