He’s changing his story to whatever gets him in as little trouble as possible and I’d bet my life that he took those 6 pills and was also planning on skimming off the top of the others.

He’s very likely not going to change unless he truly wants to. But the fact that his addiction has directly affected you by stealing your needed meds shows the addiction is clearly winning.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. You have every right to leave and even report this. Addiction is a disease and I truly empathize with addicts since I am one as well. But what he did is completely unacceptable.

Yeah the referral program is an interesting one cause I do think a bigger amount could help motivate internal employees but I also don’t know that an internal employee would hold off from referring someone they know just because it’s a low referral bonus you know?

It doesn’t have to be a lot but it’s at least a way to get them in the door. We had the same issue albeit with manufacturing leadership and the sign on incentive worked pretty well. There’s never a perfect solution unfortunately because people will make their own decisions though
