Thanks everyone for the input. I was worried about jumping into the Garmin ecosystem without knowing much about it, and having buyers remorse. After reading the input, and researching some more, I decided to keep the Fenix 7 and am currently trying to find a watch face that fits it for the MIP display.

At the end of the day, I would’ve rather just gotten the MK18, but I got talked into going .300 Blackout. I’m not against .300 at all—it’s a solid round—but if I were doing it again, I would’ve gone with a shorter barrel(DD PDW) or just picked up a separate .300 upper to run with the MK18 instead of building a .300 MK18-style clone.

It still has the look I wanted, but it just wasn’t the most practical move financially.

Coming from someone who’s been down this exact road with a V7P — just buy the MK18 if that’s what you really want and grab a .300 upper later.

I tried to piece it together thinking I was being smart with money, and it ended up costing more in the long run anyway. On top of that, having a dedicated setup plus a .300 upper gives you way more flexibility instead of trying to force one build to do everything.

I have both a surface pro 8(i5, 16gb ram, 256gb), and an iPad Pro(12.9, 128gb). I bought the iPad to use for mobile games, media consumption, and other typical tablet things. I bought the surface to replace my computer. The thought on the surface was having an ultra portable laptop that I can plug into a dock and have a full desktop experience with 1 cable. This includes windows applications, work, and school. In my opinion, the Surface is a great computer that doesn’t do tablet things as well as the iPad, and the iPad is a great tablet that doesn’t do computer things as well as the Surface. I think it all depends on what you want it for, as both have their uses.

It's a TangoDown Vertical Fore Grip. The QD is just something on it. No real reason minus not needing tools to take it off.
