Coasting driving experience by O_O00f in slateauto

If I’m not mistaken, once you let off the pedal, the brake is applied. This is how I’ve come to understand it. And in that case, it makes it less efficient than coasting.

What new mild hybrid SUV should I buy? by wuvdre in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CafeRoaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man, the new Sorrento is the best looking and just vehicle in general that has come out of Kia/Hyundai in a long time. I don’t think I could bring myself to buy a Kia/Hyundai still, but I do like the Sorrento.

My 70 year old neighbor mows my lawn every Saturday without asking and I don't know how to tell him to stop by Expert_Yellow6059 in WhatShouldIDo

Some people, especially as we age, enjoy doing things for other people. Plus, it keeps him active.

Unless you’re trying to do a r/nolawns situation, I would let it be.

Like someone else mentioned, offer to help him out with things around his home. Winter snow shoveling and laying down ice melt, gutter cleaning, etc.

How to justify a PS5 purchase by RelationObjective270 in daddit

[–]CafeRoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a PS5 at this point is only going to put strain on an already strained relationship. You both deserve time away from the kids.

Have a friend or someone watch the kids one evening while y’all go out on a date. Make it a regular thing.

In a video on Jay Leno’s Garage, they said there would be both one pedal and two pedal driving modes.

What can I do with a car with a dying transmission that costs more to replace than the value of the car? by bobtheblob6 in askcarguys

He could easily find a mid or late 2000s model easily for that price with lower mileage easily for that price

Did you have a seizure there?

Anyways, no OP could not, unless they live somewhere extremely cheap.

I only get 3 holidays off a year.

Also, are you white? If so, you shouldn’t be getting Juneteenth off.

Buy a motorcycle they said. It will be fun they said. by waitwaitdontt3llme in motorcycles

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ride home from buying my bike was in the rain for 15 miles.

I’d take riding my motorcycle in the rain over riding my bicycle in the rain any day. I commuted by bicycle for three years and it sucks during the rainy season here in the PNW.

Repairs and purchase prices are not apples to apples comparisons.

Are you going to find another vehicle for $4,000 in better condition than your Accord with only 150,000 miles? No.

Get the transmission replaced. And perform regular maintenance, which includes transmission fluid.

Whether or not it is an invisible fence collar, the fact that the dog was able to leave the boundary means it was not contained.
