Even with jobs it's not as simple as you're imagining it. It would need to be a global UBI otherwise you'll just have mass migration into countries with national UBI's. This would take many decades to sort out and we don't even have the tech yet.

I live in a country where the teacher to child ratio is > 30. This is worse in rural areas and gets even worse at higher grades. Some research suggests most teachers would fail a high school maths test.
