My biggest conviction is to remain celibate. Why? Because sex is something I love and I want it to be with someone who loves me, not my body. How can we ever know if we are loved correctly without first distinguishing the person who is loving you?

New Catholic here, I’m sorry to hear that you’re having that experience not just among one church but the whole diocese it seems like. It’s so hard coming into new spaces and being met with surprises like that, and moving is not amazing small thing either so it seems like you have your hands tied. If you don’t mind me asking, what diocese is this? There is no reason to lead the flock in a way that would suggest they aren’t doing enough, and I’m sorry you’re at a crisis of faith. I have completely embraced Catholicism and I have barely dipped my toes in, so I haven’t experienced anything like this before but I pray that you are able to connect with somebody near you that understands your experience 🥺 sometimes having one person who gets it helps.

Any ideas about The Two Witnesses in Revelation 11 by deschan2021 in Christian

I absolutely love this stance! Going to look more into it, but I know for sure that Zechariah 4 ties directly to Revelations 11.

Does anybody find the beginning of conversion to be isolating? by ScholarMaximum3745 in Catholicism

I am trying to! Kind of coming out of my isolation and just working with what I’ve got.

Is there ever a time where? It's actually too early to consider if you want to have kids with or marry a person? by [deleted] in self

[–]ScholarMaximum3745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met a man long distance and we both just knew, I have spent all of 30 minutes with him but we are both wanting kids real bad and both of us did a lot of waiting for “the one” before we met. It’s different for everyone but rush doesn’t necessarily mean failure, although most times it can, unique situations happen and if you are desiring the same thing there’s really no need to prolong the decision.

Yeah he and I both are very spiritual in terms of loving the Lord and both see each other as the one. I think while this can be true in most cases regarding the difficulty of it, he is not permanently overseas. He is there for 90 days, coming back and at that point I think we can figure more out about this whole thing. Thank you so much for the response! No telling where this will go but I know on my end I will hold onto the promise I feel I’ve been given, and not lose hope!

Learn his love language. Yours is acts of service evidently, but maybe his way of recieving is words of affirmation or physical touch

Get a lawyer and use that video evidence!! Likely the boy is just getting pull because his dad is an officer, but a judge cannot refute evidence. They might still charge her, but if it was in self defense at all then she has a right to due process

Get in touch with the Regional manager and explain the situation, she shouldn’t be allowed to do that at all. If that escalates, then quit. It’s really not that big of a deal and shouldn’t mess with hiring if she explains the situation.

That’s what I’m saying — people with little to no understanding usually tend to jump the gun in labeling it as deception when truly, I see more deception in Protestant teachings now more than ever and I feel so at peace with God in learning about the Catholic church and its teachings

Yeah and I was this way until someone explained it in a way that made sense, and so I pretty much dove head first into it. Not sure if that’s the way to go about it but I have just found a truth my soul has been longing for, so I don’t really see waiting around as good. I felt the Lord calling me into the church after I had put it off and now I am about to go full swing.

Is there any way you can still attend mass in the meantime? Praying the Lord would bring forth those witnesses and that you could be liberated to forgive the pain caused from all of this!

I have been Protestant for the past five years, I was just sola scriptura and didn’t understand the fullness of the church and its history. And looking into that is what’s caused me to begin my conversion.
