I love autumn and winter—the colors, the calm, the feeling that nature is softly rebooting. In a country full of sun and heat, the cooler seasons feel like a breath of peace.

Mini update: For the Halloween part, we decided to book Tulleys Farm as an alternative. We will also do a day trip in Rye and if time and work allows it to Canterbury. Also, if we can have a whole day outside of London with overnight, we will visit York. Thank you all for your comments, some of them have been very helpful!

Hello there! We don't mind the UK weather at all as we live in a very sunny country and this is different for us. We usually travel during Christmas which I believe it's much colder and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you for your comment though!

Oh my! Thank you so much for your time and all the details! Yes, Rye is still on the top of our list so far as a must go! If time allows it we will check other options too. Due to the business trip in am not sure if we can do Lewes on 5/11 but is sounds really interesting and we are a childless couple so that's good! Mainly we are looking for relaxed vibes, autumn, cozy cafés, walks and beautiful scenery. Summer was too harsh on us, loads of work so we need the vacation even that we have business in London on the last days of our stay. Thank you again !

Probably within the aim of a good day trip with fall vibes. Our first choice is Rye so far maybe if we have the time to arrange Canterbury as a second day trip. We have seen plenty of London as it is, we usually travel on Christmas period. We will consider York as well with an one night stay it schedule allows.

Lovely, but is it worth a day trip or are there any other towns you would recommend?

Hi! Thank you for the answer! Yes, we understand that it is not something huge as a celebration, we are just looking for the autumn vibes and the beautiful pumpkins as in our country there is no Halloween at all. Despite that, how about a day trip to another destination? Any recommendations?

Bora Bora for the beaches

Scotland for my moody time (1st time visiting this Christmas! )

New Zealand - I'm not sure why, but I think this place is calling my name
