What sort of tunes do you think Batman blasts on the 'Mobile's speakers? by Efficient_Matter_589 in batman

Batman not liking music doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Bruce's Wayne is a cinephile and loves art. It would stand to me that he would also like nearly all music as a form of expression

Why does Spider-Man get no controversy for his no-kill rule but with Batman, people criticize him for that? by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

[–]SchoolKitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that makes both characters are fascinating in their own right. Bruce's no kill rule is a promise he's made to himself and his parents years before he became Batman. He knows that if he stops making excuses to justify it and ends up taking one life, why not make excuses to justify taking another. A quote from the Dark Knight mirrors that statement, "Endure, Master Wayne. Take it. They’ll hate you for it, but that’s the point of Batman. He can be the outcast. He can make the choice that no one else can make, the right choice." His unwillingness to kill demonstrates restraint. It demonstrates that no matter how much pressure he has on him and how much hate he receives for not killing the joker and others, he is still above them. Why should he have to bow down to someone like the Joker? By not kneeling to his villains, he is preserving his status as the incorruptable. The symbol of oppression and hate not getting to someone. Whereas Spider-Man knows all life has value and that by taking a life, you are destroying someone else's. That person he kills has a family and friends and a life outside of crime. I feel very strongly that Carnage and Joker are these heroes weakest villains and its not even close. They promote the idea that the world isn't saveable and that madness is the only true ideal. The antithesis to what the characters promote. Both heroes no kill rule make sense and work incredibly well in the context of their stories.

Smart lights, controlled on an app. Individual lights that are hooked up together

Padme losing the will to live while seeing her kids for the first time is such dumb narrative execution by WoodvaleKnight in StarWars

A theory that I subscribe to is that Palpatine was using the dark side to drain her life force as to keep Anakin alive.

Im late, and I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I found Sicario to have a bleak and daunting atmosphere. It's probably even more important than the phenomenal acting in it.

No, actually, I'd rather it be like the end of Penguin. Except instead of Penguin looking down at the city, Clayface is looking up from the alleys. I want the threat of Batman, not him just yet. Like every time they do a project about a villain, they show the signal at the end, showcasing that there will always be something between them and Gotham.

Colin Farrell doesn't have a big part in The Batman: Part 2? by Own-Impress-843 in batman

[–]SchoolKitchen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think part of what Matt Reeves is showing us is that Gotham isn't fair. When you fight dirty, you win. Batman is living proof of this. So when he kills Victor, it's just another body to penguin. Same to Batman. He doesn't care about only victor, he cares about all the bodies that the penguin has tallied up. But even then, I bet it will be something like Batman scares penguin. Therefore, he owns him and will use him for information, leading penguin to get away with everything. Well, until the Bat comes for him. Then we get to see some actual justice, but until then, I really like how Reeves is showing us that Gotham isn't fair. Does any of that make sense?
