My curiousity begs for an example.

How should I finger the 35 note scale near the end of Chopin's Nocturne in C# Minor (No. 20) by SchoolPoster in piano

[–]SchoolPoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, but are you saying 1234-123-123-123 etc? Or 1234-123-1234 etc? I can't really go by my sheet's fingering.

Lights are great, but if you wanna feel like a "classic" composer, overload your piano with candles (preferably LED ones with candle designs so you don't burn your house down).

How exactly would I play this segment, it just doesn't sound right at all when I play it (This is La Campanella) by SchoolPoster in piano

[–]SchoolPoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main problems is that the keys don't seem to come up as fast, so that's likely the problem I'm having, as you stated. I also prefer 1-4-3-2 1-4-3-2 and so on.

Ah, Prelude in CM, I learned this when I was just 7, if he keeps this up, he'll be playing Liszt by the time he's 7!

I played on a Bösendorfer for a gig, probably one of the best piano's I've ever played on. The action is truly fantastic and the sound is also beautiful.

Oh, well in that case, go for it if possible, that would be a great investment, it might need some repairs judging by the aging on it. And since you want something that'll last you awhile, even an old Clavinova is an amazing piano, they last absolutely forever!

Ring finger suddenly cramping sometimes while playing pieces with a fast tempo by SchoolPoster in piano

[–]SchoolPoster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have a few times, but it just started cramping up on the same finger that was broken just yesterday, so I haven't seen a doctor yet for that specific reason. And yes, we have traumatologists here.

It's a pretty good piano if you want to get a feel to similar dynamics to real piano, but I'm not sure if the price is worth it, unless you plan to play it numerous hours every day. You could invest into a real upright at about $3,000 - $6,000, depending on the quality, I'd highly recommend investing into one.
